This theoretical article aims to analyze startups as a way of coping with entrepreneurs in the context of unemployment and precarious work. It presents a contextualization of labor relations, which results from the global macroeconomic crisis, which deteriorated the process of global economic growth in the period between 2011 and 2016, its implications for the Brazilian market, and the repercussions on the employment situation in the country until 2019. About the understanding of the development requirements of startup entrepreneurs, the concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, disruptive innovation, as well as startup and business incubators will be addressed from a historical-conceptual perspective.
