In this edition we would like to update you about our product and also activities that we have done, as part of our commitment to continue our present in the midst of business in Indonesia. Certainly, Business Sustainability and Customer Satisfaction are always being our focus in IFS. We constantly improve this commitment. Recently, information technology either software or hardware and infrastructures have been growing very fast. Almost everyone could grip the world easily and quickly. IFS as the global company of ERP business applications really concern about all wishes and future business challenges which will be faced by our customers. Research and Development (R & D) is being a continuous process that we do as our efforts to keep growing and also maintain our customer’s investments.
In this opportunity, we would like to introduce our latest product: IFS Application 8 which we had been released in October 2012 in Gothenburg, Sweden and we officially launched in Jakarta on February 14th 2013. There are a lot of improvement from previous versions; both in features, functionalities as well as methodology and quality, so our loyal customers will be easily find it easier to upgrade and to implement the most important goal is IFS Application 8 could bring added value to our customers’ businesses. The new tag-line of our latest application is “Going Mobile with IFS ..!”, because with the best technology that we had in IFS Application 8 our customers could run their business from almost anywhere by using their mobile devices. IFS SOLUTIONS DAY IFS Solutions Indonesia, PT. (IFSSI) organized “IFS Solutions Day” event at The Royal Kuningan Hotel, Jakarta on Thursday, 14 February 2013. Over dozens IFSSI customer, other company stakeholders, and IFSSI partners attended the event.
he half-day event was inaugurated by Sutan Simandjuntak, President Director of IFSSI through his opening speech which emphasized about IFS Mobile Applications and IFS Applications 8. The tagline of the event: “Going Mobile with IFS”, this event theme: “Achieve Customer Delight through Excellent Technology in Your Hand.” The event was divided into two sessions of discussions. The first session, Jan C. Brunaes, President of IFS Asia Pacific, presented about “IFS Corporate Update and 3 Years Roadmap”. Then, continued by Eko Winarso, Presales Manager of IFSSI, who gave the details about “Innovations in IFS Applications 8”, Handi Sapta Mukti Business Development Director of IFSSI was the moderator for this session. The second session were deliver two topics, “A Mobile Landscape: IFS Touch Applications” explained by Sridharan Arumugam, Vice President of IFS South East Asia and “IFS Update Strategy” by Thomas Dwi Susmantoro, IFSSI Consulting Director. Overall, the event was run really interactive. All participants looked enthusiastic during the discussion session. There were also two solutions corner provided. “Mobility Corner” was aim for participants to have personal experience of accessing IFS Applications 8 using mobile devices and “Upgrade Corner” a helpdesk for customers to get more details regarding the upgrade process to the IFS Applications 8. The event also highlighted that the newest IFS Applications 8 and IFS Mobile Application can help both private and public company in all business sector to reach the success goal in their business.

FS World Conference is an annual conference held by IFS to gather and update their customers and business partners about the trends, innovations and insights of IFS applications and technology. This year the focus of the event was on innovation in each customers industries and markets; in the world of technology; and in the way weâ€™ve developed the latest release of IFS business software, IFS Applications 8. By organizing this conference, IFS tried to work close to customers, listen to customers, and give what customers need to make them more competitive. Mobility was also being another hot topic in IFS World Conference 2012. SOHO group itself has decided to upgrade their IFS Applications into IFS Applications 8 starting from end of 2012.
For the future, IFS World Conference 2013 will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on October 28-30, with an extra day for the training program on October 31. The venue is the Palau de Congressos and Hotel Rey Juan Carlos. Attending IFS World Conference 2013 represents even better value than usual. IFSSI will let you know about this information soon.
IFS Futsal & Badminton Tournament 2012
IFS Solutions Indonesia, PT. (IFSSI) held IFS Futsal & Badminton Tournament 2012. It is annual event for IFSSI customers. This year, the tournament held in Galaxy Sports Ancol, on 8 December 2012. Dozens of team accepted the challenge from IFSSI to grab trophy and bank checks worth million rupiahs.
his is a media for IFS to build deep relationship with our customers. The interest of customer to this event growing from year to year. The interest from the participant seemed from the rise number of companies who joins for the tournament. This year 19 companies participated consist of 36 badminton teams and 18 futsal teams. Meanwhile last year there are 11 companies, consist of 27 badminton teams and 11 futsal teams. The spirit of sportively were really highlighted in this tournament. In futsal competition, Pupuk Kujang Futsal Team was being the first winner. They got trophy and bank check 8 million rupiahs. The second place was Kawasaki Motor Indonesia. They win 5 million rupiahs. And, in the third place is ATEJA Tritunggal futsal teams and brought 2 million rupiahs. In the badminton competition, Hadi / Nova from Bukit Muria Jaya (BMJ), PT was being the winner in the IFS Badminton competition and got bank check 5 million rupiahs. BMJ still hold the champion title for this competition. The second position occupied by Yudi & Eko which also from BMJ. They win 3 million rupiahs. While, Sutrisno & Yunus from Mensa Bina Sukses (MBS), PT. and Ridwan & Dedi
from BMJ being the third winner and got 1 million each. They looked very proud and happy being the winners of IFS Futsal & Badminton Tournament 2012. All participant said that they were satisfied with tournament in overall, included the food and beverage provided, attitude of the committee, and also the prizes. For this successful tournament, the Management did not forget to express gratitude for customer and all parties that had done efforts to make this tournament run well.
IFS Solutions Indonesia joins INACHEM Event
INACHEM, Indonesia’s biggest International Trade Fair and Conference for the Chemical, Fine & Specialty Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Industries held on 11-13 July 2012 at Jakarta Convention Center.
he event, hosted jointly by Federation of the Indonesia Chemical Industry (the umbrella association comprised of 30 Indonesia chemical associations), the Indonesia Institution of Chemical Engineer, and the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia. It is the main meeting point for industry players to serve the growing demand for chemical products, services, and technology in Indonesia and South East Asia region. The event was aimed to encourage the creativity of business in national industry. INACHEM 2012 event were attended by approximately 141 companies from China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan, Germany, Hong Kong, and some other countries. IFSSI – KPBN Kick Off Meeting The kick-off meeting of KPBN ERP Implementasion Project held successfully in KPBN Office Jakarta on 23 January 2013. The delegates that involve in this meeting are Board of Director and the project team from IFSSI; BOD’s and head of each division from KPBN also Mr. Harry Prasetyo from PPM.
he meeting was highly interactive. Mr. Rahardjo, Project Manager from IFSSI gave a project charter presentation, which covered the scope of work, methodology, and the project team to the audiences. Then Mr. Alfender, Project Manager from KPBN introduced his team which will be involved in this project. Actually, the purpose of organizing this kick-off meeting was to equate the perception between the two sides (IFSSI and KPBN) before the implementation. Through this meeting, IFSSI and KPBN expected
that the project will be run and finish on time and within budget. KPBN needed solution for integrating their business function in marketing and logistics so they could improve competitiveness, production cost efficiency and assist them to implement good corporate governance. The selected modules are finance, supply chain, general, and BI Qlikview. Also includes customization in marketing solution. The project implementation started on 23 January 2013, expected the
solutions will go live about 8 months later KPBN selected IFS Applications after evaluating solutions from SAP and Microsoft Dynamics.

here was no success can be achieved without hard work and willingness of each individual person. To achieve that goal, we must strive and work hard in accordance with our passion either through your own business or through a professional path. Ricky Fransiskus was born on 03 July 1973 in a village in Bangka. When he was at Junior High School College and Senior High School College, he went to school by passing the bay with 3 kinds of vehicles, first bicycle from home to the dock, then on ship crossing and then continued with a mini bus or car public transportation to school. So, virtually, every day at that time, he leaves home early in the morning and arrived home late at night. Most of his friend failed and dropped out from school. He was very grateful that he could pass that time well, and finally he continued the bachelor study in Jakarta. Ricky was strongly believes that a good education would be able to change his life in the future. From childhood, Ricky was ambitious, intelligent, and competitive. In school, he had an excellent record in mathematics and science. Ricky Fransiskus was very much interested in the world of Information Technology (IT). With his loving in IT world, while at that time, there was not much college offered IT major as the study, he finally chose Bina Nusantara University and took major in Informatics Management. In the fifth semester, he got his first opportunity in a leasing company, PT. Indomaru Multi Finance, in which he was selected as a programmer. Being in this company, he found a new way to apply his skills in computerize system. Then, in 1996 he moved to PT. Soho Industri Pharmasi, until present. Now, he is being IT System Support and Development Division Head of PT. Soho Global Health (SOHO Group). Until now, his passion is still in the IT world and he always try to follow the development of IT by searching appropriate technologies which are very useful for himself and for the company where he worked for. He join PT. Soho Industry Pharmacy in 1996 as a Programmer Analyst when at the time the amount of computer is less than 10 units, and there were no integrated system between the existing departments, and all process still done manually, except in Production Planning process. In 1998, top management decided to implement ERP system both for the integration between departments and for the anticipation of Y2K. Finally, IFS Applications was chosen since its application was in modular system, flexible, user friendly, and easy to be implemented. ERP implementation became a very big challenge at that time and must be faced by Ricky as IT Manager and Project Manager for ERP implementation. He succeed the implementation of ERP implementation both at PT. Soho and PT. Ethica with 3 modules, they were: Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing. During the implementation process, he learned much about IFS Applications system and business process in distribution and manufacturing area.
Through a long implementation process, eventually all three modules can go live until now. After that, the amount of computer was growing in line with the business growth. At that time the IT function separated to be 2 parts, they were: IT Support & Development and IT Infrastructure. In 2012, IT Functions were consolidated into one team under the holding company of PT. Soho Global Health. Ricky Fransiskus was being appointed as IT System Support and Development Division Head to provide support and development as well as manage all the business applications needed by the SOHO Group. As IT System Support and Development Division Head, the knowledge in the IT world should be updated continuously in order to provide solution for the future business growth. Spirit, commitment, and a strong team will always being a key success for the IT implementation in various IT projects. He hopes one day IT will be as strategic role and important function in an organization, so it can
give enormous impact on the growth of the company. SOHO Group started cooperation with PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia since 1998 with training of F1 and Rational Rose, and then continued with implementation IFS99 for Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing. In 2002, SOHO Group started to implement HR operative module. As an IFS user, Ricky Fransiskus suggested that for the future, there should be a special training center for IFS Applications which has been certified, so the name of IFS is being more well-known in the public. Because according to him IFS is a good product but there is only a few people in IT community that know IFS. Besides that, with IFS user community that has been established, he hopes that it can be a place for sharing the experiences about IFS between IFS Users.

Norwayâ€™s main grid owner, Statnett, upgrades to IFS Applications 8 IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Statnett, Norwayâ€™s national main grid owner and operator, will upgrade its existing IFS solution to IFS Applicationsâ„˘ 8 to streamline business critical processes such as enterprise asset management and project management. The contract includes licenses and services worth NKr 12.7 million.
ince the initial implementation of IFS Applications in 2001, Statnett has been an important adviser in the development of IFS Applications for the energy and utilities industry. By upgrading to IFS Applications 8, the company will benefit from using a leading-edge enterprise management platform including support for key business processes such as maintenance, asset management, and project management. Statnett is embarking on a large investment program in the national central power grid. IFS Applications will play an important part in managing the increased project volume that this plan will generate. The implementation is expected to be completed in November 2013.
