10. Get Organized

Simply put we are creatures of habit. By forming new, healthy, productive habits we avoid slipping back into the clutter of our old ways. Small changes such as buying different colored laundry baskets so everyone knows where to put their dirty whites, blacks and colors, can make laundry night easier and keep rooms less cluttered. A shopping list on or near the refrigerator will allow everyone to list items that have run out or run low that you will need to get on your next trip to the market. Setting up automatic bill pay for your utilities, car payment, credit cards and other recurring bills will save you the hassle of writing checks and even make due dates a little less stressful. Even creating a new daily schedule that incorporates time for working out, walking the dog, reading to the kids, making dinner and watching your favorite reality show can make a world of difference.

It’s a New Year and it’s time for a new you. Good Luck!
