An American family consisting of Mr. (American minister) and Mrs. Otis, his eldest son Washington, Virginia 15 and twins move to spend the summer in England, having bought Canterville Chase, despite warnings around the world including that of the Lord Canterville that it was a haunted property. A ghost inhabiting the house for 300 years, it was the guilty soul of Sir Simon de Canterville. He wandered through the house after disappearing in mysterious circumstances nine years after killing his own wife by the fireplace of the hall, on which site appeared again and again an odd blood stain. But a modern family Otis Republican will ignore these stories. However, upon arrival at the house in disgust My Otis discover the alleged spot of blood, which immediately sends clean (despite that the stain will appear repeatedly every morning) and that same night, the ghost makes an appearance, raising the their chains creaking of Sir Otis, he offers a bottle offends aggraded, and the twins who throw a pillow. The impassivity and the gall of the Otis are angry and feels compelled to flee. The ghost prepares his revenge, but fault and hits with the cold blood of Otis, the genius of Washington and the misdeeds of the twins. Virginia the daughter of the Otis decides to help to the ghost in order that this way it could rest in peace. Finally Virginia marries the duke and returns to the house spent a time. Personal opinion: In my opinion is a very good book that teaches us how we can change the end. Although I have to admit that at first I thought that I would have liked, but as they say my father did not get carried a way by the first impression. In conclusion is a book I will recommend to my friends.
