Director of Missions

I would like to take this time to express my appreciation to each and every one of you who pray for and support our association of churches. I, along with our staff, feel honored and blessed to be able to serve in the Inland Empire. It is your support, manifested in so many ways that allows us to engage in unique facets of God’s Kingdom work. One of the true joys of my life is visiting one of our over 200 Churches each Sunday. I am amazed as churches that all have the same core doctrinal convictions differ in vast ways such as language, culture, style of worship and ministries. This diversity is a joy to be a part of and in truth only makes sense. If the Inland Empire was a state it would be the 25th largest state in the United States. Our Association of churches is larger than 10 Southern Baptist State Conventions; we are the third largest association in the United States. What an exciting location God has placed each one of us in. An association whose size and make up alone, demands that we work together, making sure each one of the over 4 million people hear about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Multi-Ethnic Consultant The Lord is so good to us. His love and grace are never ending. Titus 2:11-12 speaks to us about the power of the Grace of God. “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.” 1. God has put a face to the word Grace: Jesus Christ appeared 2. The power: His saving grace is available to all men. 3. Objective: Redeem man to God and teaches us to say “No” to the world and to live self-controlled lives. 4. When: Now!!!; “this present age” Again, only through His power and grace and not of ourselves.

Church Growth Strategist There seems to be confusion about what it means to be a Christian in society today. I recently read a study completed by The Barna Research Group that would indicate that, “Contradictions and confusion permeate the spiritual condition of the nation.” The moral foundations of the nation are crumbling. This year brought about increases in Americans who believe that Cohabitation 60%, Adultery 42%, Homosexuality 30%, Pornography 38%, and Gambling 61% are “morally acceptable” behaviors. Although just 38% of the adult public have confessed their sins and accepted Christ as their savior, 99% claim they will not go to Hell after they die. In fact, a majority of Americans do not believe that Satan exists and most adults are leery about the existence of Hell. The fact that just 9% of born again Christians, have a biblical worldview, sheds light on the distorted viewpoints that reign in the U.S.

In spite of the contradictions outlined in this study, God and His Word, the Bible, have not changed. God’s Word makes His expectation clear. Romans 12:1-2 - “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” 1 John 2:15 - “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” The question is, “how do we live and survive in the world system and yet not be part of it?” This has always been the critical issue of Christianity and it is a battle that we are losing. The answer to living a successful Christ filled life is simple but difficult. God is willing to equip us for this task if we ask. The keys to success are WISDOM, HONESTY, AND INTEGRITY. Wisdom is the knowledge of what is right and true coupled with the ability to put it into action. James 1:5 - “If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God.” Honesty is the act of telling the truth. Proverbs 12:17 - “He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.” Integrity is living according to moral and ethical principles. Proverbs 20:7 - “The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” Equipped with these three essential characteristics of the Spirit-filled life we cannot only live in the world, but we can successfully withstand its temptations. Strengthened with the power of God, we can say with assurance, “I will never be the same again. I can never return, I've closed the door; I will walk the path, I'll run the race, and I will never be the same again.”

To my Family: This is probably the toughest letter I have ever had to write since becoming a pastor. As most of you know Full Circle Outreach has been in business for 15 years. God has always supplied our needs according to His riches in Glory. We still believe that today, but we also believe that we need to work together as a body to see the Glory of the Lord shine forth. For 15 years FCO has been supported by the men who enter the program. The men get work and pay rent ($600) per month, which includes housing, utilities, clothes, hygiene products, counseling, drug screens and food. Over the 15 years there have been many successes, but now all of that could come to an end. Drug and alcohol problems are not going away anytime soon, they are only going to get worse. There are not many affordable Christian programs around, and we as a body need to see that they don't become a thing of the past. As we all know employment for these men is sometimes tough. But they still need help, that’s why I'm writing this letter. While they are seeking employment the cost goes on and ministry to these men needs to continue to happen. Everybody at some point in their life needs help. This is your opportunity to help someone get their life back, first with Christ and then with their family. Today I am asking you to pray about becoming a bed sponsor. After you pray and fast about helping these men, and if the Lord puts it on your heart, please email or contact me for the information needed to start the sponsorship program. Thank You for your continued prayers for the men and the Ranch. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I would love to meet with you to discuss and answer any questions that you might have. Remember God LOVES you and so do we here at Xtreme Faith and Full Circle Outreach. Pastor Kirk’s Mission Trip to Haiti -Pastor Kirk is the youth pastor at Set Free Yucaipa

Horrifically Glorious is how I describe our trip. Horrific because the damage was more than I expected or what I have seen on the news. Glorious because of the response of the people to God in this disaster. Horrific because of the lack of progress. Glorious as the people unified to help one another. Horrific to see the orphans fatherless. Glorious to see the Heavenly Father loving them. We saw that God is in love with Haiti and the Haitians are responding to God's love by repenting and turning their lives over to Jesus. My wife and I walked through a crowd of 40,000 people in front of the Port au Prince Palace Street on the second day of a 3-day prayer and fasting rally. The people raised their hands crying out to God, "We cannot die right now, because your love for us is right now". As we drove back to the orphanage thousands of people were marching through the streets "Carnival style" praising and singing hymns. This was the week they normally have Carnival. Carnival is usually filled with parties, fights, and murders. Instead the church yards and tent cities were filled with people hearing the Gospel of Jesus. I preached Sunday at a church whose school and orphanage had collapsed. The pastor shared how he decided to play soccer with the kids outside when the earthquake happened. His wife and 3 year old daughter were at home when he was at the orphanage. He ran a mile to his house to find his two story house collapsed to the ground with his wife and child in it. He was able to dig his wife's body out and bury her but he couldn't get to his daughter's body. I was able to pray and encourage him. The people of Haiti are responding to the gospel of Jesus. What will be our response? They need our help to rebuild and restore their lives. They don't have claim adjusters for insurance or government help. Galatians 6:10 says, "So then, as we have opportunity, let us do a good work toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith". Set Free church has set up a warehouse to gather donations to ship to the church and orphanage that we are partnering with. We are also collecting monetary donations that can help immediately to buy food, water, and provide shelter. I would ask that everyone reading this consider what you can give to help save lives, as well as share the gospel of Jesus. I plan to go back with a team of doctors, construction workers, teachers to help train, pastors for training up Haitian pastors and leaders and more supplies to equip the body of Christ. Supply List: Rice Beans Medicine for adults and children Tents/tarps School supplies (pencils, paper, crayons, french school books) French Bibles Electric generators Electric well water pumps Construction tools for building If you can meet any of the needs, please call me , 909-615-0427 . I am willing to speak at your church or meet with anyone that is interested in helping.
