l pasado 26 de junio, el Centro de Diversidad, junto con el IE Women in Business Club, acogió la presentación de las conclusiones del Global Summit of Women, que tuvo lugar en Kuala Lumpur, Malasia, con la asistencia de una numerosa delegación de ejecutivas españolas. BPW Madrid, conjuntamente con Margarita de Cos, Chair de GSW España, explicaron que el Global Summit es un evento anual con mucha participación internacional, que cubre distintos niveles de participación, ejecutivas, políticas y sociedad civil, jóvenes, y varias ONG. En la edición de este año se juntaron más de 1.100 mujeres participantes. De Cos explicó que el Global Summit es el único foro internacional que existe y su enfoque
es económico, lo que le distingue del resto. Es una plataforma para la relación profesional a todos los niveles y un gran oportunidad de hacer networking. Este año, por primera vez, el Global Summit acogió a cuatro estudiantes de la Universidad de Valencia.

n 26 June, the Center for Diversity and the IE Women in Business Club welcomed the presentation of the conclusions of the 2013 Global Summit of Women that took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was attended by numerous female executives from a variety of positions.
BPW Madrid and Margarita de Cos, Chair of GSW Spain, explained that the Global Summit is an annual event that relies on international participation and covers different sectors, such as female executives, female politicians, the civil society, as well as several NGOs. This year’s edition was attended by more than 1,100 women. She explained that the Global Summit is the only international forum that exists, and that it has an economic approach, which distinguishes it from other similar events. It’s a platform for all professional levels and a great opportunity to network. This year for the first time the Global Summit welcomed four students from the University of Valencia.

l departamento de Carreras Profesionales de IE va a lanzar, próximamente, un nuevo y mejorado portal de servicios y recursos de carreras profesionales, gracias al acuerdo alcanzado con Symplicity, una de las mejores plataformas online en este ámbito. Esta nueva plataforma incluye mejoras en los servicios, ya disponibles en la anterior versión, como la creación de CVs o el acceso al Banco de Oportunidades, e incorpora nuevas funcionalidades, tales como añadir un número ilimitado de CVs y otros documentos, estar al día de todas las noticias y eventos referentes al desarrollo profesional, disponer de una amplia gama de recursos, y una mayor conectividad entre usuarios de la comunidad IE. Además, gracias a la escalabilidad de esta plataforma, podremos en un futuro no muy lejano, incorporar otras iniciativas como la realización de entrevistas simuladas personalizadas, solicitud de citas, etc., lo que nos ayudarán a ofrecer un servicio de más calidad y cumplir con las expectativas de nuestros alumnos y antiguos alumnos. Con este paso, se demuestra una vez más que IE sigue apostando por la vanguardia tecnológica y por la búsqueda continua de la excelencia profesional de su colectivo de alumnos y antiguos alumnos.

he IE Career Management Center will soon be launching a new and improved portal for career services and resources, thanks to the agreement with Symplicity, one of the best online platforms in this area. This new platform includes an improvement in the services that already existed in the previous version, such as the creation of CVs and access to the Job Bank, and includes new functionalities such as the ability to include an unlimited number of CVs and other documents, to be up to date on the latest news and events with regards to professional development, an extended volume of resources, and higher connectivity between the different users from the IE community. Thanks to the scalability of this platform, in the near future we will be able to incorporate other initiatives such as the creation of personalized mock interviews, request an appointment through the system, etc., allowing us to offer higher quality service and fulfill the expectations of our students and alumni. This important step demonstrates that IE is on the cutting edge of technology and strives for professional excellence of its student and alumni population.
