Message from the Chairperson Hi everyone!

Caroline Mc Grotty

Well, this is our first newsletter and my first message to you all! Recently we held our AGM where 4 new members were elected onto the board, this is exciting for us, as fresh meat means fresh and new ideas for the IDYA in 2011! We held the Halloween Party in MessRs Maguire for the first time in four years and pleased to say it was a great success with over 100 people attending the night. The best dressed went to Keenan Byrne from Dublin for his Beeltejuice and Aoife Blaney for her Corpse Maid. You can see all the pics of the party on our Facebook page. This month is very exciting cos we are in the process of launching our calendar for 2011 which features our board and other members. The proceeds from the calendar will go the charity Cystic Fibrosis. Also for CF we are having a fundraiser night which there will be womens and men's head shaves and also leg and chest waxing so make sure you are there to see it all in action! That's all for now, see you in my next message! :)

The IDYA would like to congratulate Ronan Lowry for completing his Child Protection Training Level 2 in Galway last October 2010. He is hoping to become the Designated Person for Child Protection. We wish him the best of luck doing the courses in the next few months. :)
