Boat Launch Facilities You can launch a motorboat or sailboat at Park and Recreation facilities. We have boat launch ramps and docks at: Blythe Landing, 15901 NC Highway 73, Huntersville (Lake Norman) Copperhead Island, 15200 Soldier Rd., part of McDowell Nature Preserve (Lake Wylie) Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Rd., Cornelius (Lake Norman). Golf Facilities Cadillac Golf Ranch Description: The Cadillac Golf Ranch is a state-of-the-art golf learning and practice facility that opened in August 2010 in Pineville. The Cadillac Golf Ranch was conceived to be a “club” without a golf course. Our vision is for a place where golfers can meet, socialize, practice, learn and discuss the game of golf in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. We hope to create a place where golfers of all skill levels will find “their” place to fulfill their practice, learning, equipment and recreational needs.

Renaissance Park Description: 18-hole course (Ladies-5315, Mens- 6270, Championship-7465), driving range, chipping/putting green, bent-grass greens

Revolution Park Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course Description: 9-hole regulation course (Red-2211, White-2825, Blue-2976), chipping/putting green, Bermuda greens

Sunset Hills Description: 18-hole course (Red-5185, White-5810, Blue-6146), driving range, putting green, practice sand trap, Bermuda greens

The Tradition Description: 18-hole (Forward-5498, Middle-6201, Back-6561, Championship7054), 2 putting greens, driving range, chipping green, bent-grass greens

Aeromodeler Field Mecklenburg Park and Recreation has a special facility for flying model airplanes. The David B. Waymer Aeromodelers Flying Field, 15401 Holbrooks Road, in Huntersville has areas for both wire controlled and radio-controlled models. To fly here you need an AMA membership and an annual pass.
