in march 2007, the inter-american development bank signed an agreement with the government of norway to establish the anticorruption activities trust fund ("the fund"). the objective of the fund is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the bank's borrowing member countries to prevent and control corruption, by supporting the design and implementation of policies, mechanisms, and/or practices that promote access to information. the fund will provide 30 million norwegian kroner, approximately us$5 million, to support activities in accordance with the criteria and procedures listed below.
