It starts on a grand scale with our state-of-the-art water treatment plant. Both the scale and quality of this facility ensures that the Avimor community gets maximum value for the water it uses. A portion of the high quality effluent is used for irrigation of parks, athletic fields, and other common areas, while the excess will be used to recharge on-site aquifers, preserving the resource for future use. In the long term, this converts a potential waste stream into a relatively inexpensive and reliable water reserve for the development. This benefits the developer in defraying irrigation costs, it benefits the resident by providing upto-date sewer services (rather than septic), and it benefits the larger Treasure Valley community by reducing Avimor’s demands on the municipal system.

At the level of the individual home, the picture gets even better. On average, every home we build in Avimor use 30% less water than a comparable home in the valley. Every home comes standard with water saving appliances, low-flow fixtures, and hot-water recirculation pumps so you don’t waste hundreds of gallons a year alone just waiting for the shower to warm up.
