BANGKOK Our trip began in Bangkok. Sleepy and disorientated after a 7 hour flight we caught a bright orange taxi to our hotel, The Marriott on Sukhumvit Road. After narrowly escaping death (the cab driver trying everything he could to kill us and the moped drivers weaving around him) we opened our hotel room to discover what heaven looks like. The shower had an amazing panoramic view of the capital which you can see in the images to follow. We spent our three days in Bangkok eating delicious Thai street food, sightseeing temples and various golden Buddha’s, having £3 Thai body massages, beauty treatments, eating deep fried insects, riding in Tuk-Tuks, being harassed by taxi and Tuk-Tuk drivers to complete errands for them, shouting at Tuk-Tuk drivers, being ripped off because we’re tourists, drinking cocktails during never ending happy hours, shopping and photographing of course!

KOH TAO Our escape of bustling Bangkok, took us on a 1 hour plane journey and 2 hour boat ride to beautiful Koh Tao. Translated as the Turtle island, Koh Tao is a very small island located near the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand and covers an area of about 21km². Here we spent our time relaxing, reading, exploring the island by off-roading on our little rented amazing moped, snorkeling, eating, drinking and shopping. The perfect relaxing getaway after a whirl wind year and a half of madness.
