What’s New

Israel Celebration Tours is proud to announce that it has joined forces with ISSTA, the No.1 tour operator in Israel, with more than 60 offices in Israel alone, as well as in London, Amsterdam & Paris.

Welcome to the first edition of our newsletter. We will publish it on a regular basis to keep you up to date with the events, places, people, news and views that make Israel the ideal place to celebrate your special event.

Our partnership will enhance our ability to offer even more exciting, high quality touring experiences for young and old, in the land of Israel at special prices.

Israel Celebration Tours is constantly amazed at the number and quality of Israel’s museums. We review some of the most interesting and newest:

Established more than 40 years ago, ISSTA has a unique relationship with all leading hotel chains, transportation companies and specially trained licensed tour guides.

The Palmach Museum, in Ramat Aviv (near TA University), is an interactive media experience and a MUST SEE. Designed for all ages, you will share the experiences of a group of young immigrants who join the nascent Israeli army in the 1940’s, on the eve of the War of Independence; sharing their personal experiences, their problems, their integration into Israel and their relationships with each other. You will experience a bombardment, being on board a warship, a campfire in the field... less a traditional museum, more an enactment of the birth of modern Israel. Not to be missed, this site demands to be visited more than once.

To mark our newly established partnership, ICT‐ISSTA are offering – in addition to our normal tour programs – a series of new and unique 10 day tours: Wine and Culinary tour Yoga‐Meditation‐Music tour in Jerusalem, Safed and a Spa in the Judean Wilderness Jewish People‐hood Tour Jews by Choice, Welcoming Tour For more information contact us at: Phone: +1 786 284 8413 P. Israel and its Museums

Equally worthwhile is the new Herzl Museum, dedicated to Theodore Herzl's memory and message. At the entrance to the Mt. Herzl Cemetery in Jerusalem, the museum has a spectacular audio‐ visual encounter with the visionary of the Jewish State, and offers a thought‐ provoking, hour‐long portrait reflecting his views. The four‐room museum (including a reconstruction of Herzl’s study and library) details his ideological evolution from an assimilationist to the father of the State of Israel.

Children from eight‐years‐old will enjoy this site. (A tour takes about an hour). The newest museum, just opening to the public, is the Rabin Museum in Ramat Aviv (below*) featuring Yitzhak Rabin's life, against the background of the changes in Israeli society and the Israeli‐ Palestinian conflict.

Several older museums have been upgraded. These include the Atlit “Illegal” Immigration Detention Camp. These restored barracks house aspects of the “Illegal” immigration saga. A computerized information database; “Sight and Sound” show; Interactive Computer Games and Archives enable you to look up the name of a relative who was smuggled into what was then “Palestine”. You’ll find the name of the ship, the date and a host of information about this particular group of “illegals”.
