ICON SPORTS MANAGEMENT -PRESENTS-

Kevin Streelman had a breakout year in 2013. He won his first career PGA Tour event at the Tampa Bay Championship in March, and followed it up by finishing 3rd, 6th, and then 2nd at The PLAYERS Championship behind only Tiger Woods. He finished in the Top-10 five times and ended the season ranked 17th on the moneylist‌ the golf world is excited to see what Kevin Streelman does next.

“I’m simply living the dream.”

It’s been a remarkable journey for Kevin to get to where he is today. He joined the PGA Tour in 2008 and had 18 Top-10 finishes in his first five seasons. Though he had many close attempts, before this year, his lone win was the Kodak Challenge, a season-long statistical contest which he won in 2009.

To realize the magnitude of Kevin’s climb, one must know the full story... For the first six years of Kevin’s professional career he drove around the country, dead broke, and stopped in cities most Americans don’t even know exist. He journeyed the U.S. multiple times, burned out three different cars, racked up almost 400,000 miles and graced his presence on virtually ever “minor league” golf tour in existence. He caddied in the winters at an affluent private club in Arizona to try to make ends meet.

“Being able to give is a lot

better than being able to receive in my mind.”

Kevin doesn’t forget these humble beginnings. He loves to give back to those less fortunate. In 2011, he and his wife, Courtney, helped create, “Tee It Up For Tuscaloosa” a charity Pro-Am to aid the victims of the 2011 tornado tragedies in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Perhaps the best overall illustration of Kevin came after his win. In an unprecedented way, seemingly every one of his peers went out of his way to congratulate Kevin. In an ‘every man for himself’ sport, this optimal sign of respect sums up Kevin Streelman.

“If we’re not out here to do great things with the platform

we’ve been blessed with, then we’re doing a great disservice.”
