The Chamber View

Message from the President Summer is flying by, but your Chamber is hard at work in an effort to enhance the value of your membership and make sure that we are responding to what you have told us your needs are from your Chamber of Commerce. The last membership survey made it very clear that we, as an organization, must find better ways to help our members be successful. You told us that you want more marketing opportunities, more visibility for your business and you want to be recognized within the community. In the coming weeks you are going to be hearing more about some exciting new additions and changes that will bring greater value to your membership and enhance the Chamber as the premiere business organization in our community.

• • • •

A few of the highlights will include: • A new digital based social network platform exclusive to our members which will use the power of relationships to help make connections to potential business opportunities. Introduction of a book club discussion group focusing on topics such as leadership, personal development and goal setting. A complete evaluation of our membership tiers to make sure we are bringing the highest value to each member and offering benefits that fit with your business needs. New marketing opportunities by being able to showcase your business at our monthly membership luncheons. Enhancement of our public spaces at the Free Enterprise Center so that members can have the convenience of “an office away from the office”, which will include updated conference rooms with access to videoconferencing technology.

You’ve probably also noticed that we’ve changed the way that we provide information to you. Our newsletter is now quarterly, but the weekly FYI will keep you more current on the latest news and happenings. The Chamber staff also presents a Facebook Live program called “Good Morning Monday”, which can be seen live every Monday morning at 9:00 am with a run down of everything coming up in the week ahead. We’ve also added a new resource page to the web site which allows you to view recorded presentations from past lunches and informational presentations hosted by the Chamber that you can watch on demand. These are just a few of the new ideas we are excited about and we welcome your feedback. Like with all memberships, you get as much out of it as you put into it so take advantage of these new offerings, get engaged with your fellow members and then reap the benefits of being a member of your local Chamber of Commerce.
