We are pleased to publish a Quarterly News Bulletin of Dosti Acres Laughter Club highlighting the current activities of the Dosti Laughter Yoga International and Dosti Acres Complex. Your comments are welcome to improve the quality of the Bulletin. PRESIDENT Dosti Acres Laughter Club

“Hasya Yoga was started by a Medical Doctor, Dr. Madan Kataria from India with just five people from a Mumbai Park in 1995. It is fast sweeping the world and today there are thousands of Laughter Clubs in more than 65 countries.

Three of the Club members S/Shri J.D. Chaturvedi, Dr. Vinay Shah and Shri Bhupendra Rathod attended a certified Laughter Yoga Leader training camp conducted by Dr. Kataria School of Laughter Yoga on 17th & 18th March, 2012 at Moksh Resort near Lonavala, Pune.

Since the beginning of the club activities in 2007, the strength of the club has risen to 58. In this year 11 New Members have joined the Club. The Club has so far in 2012 celebrated New Year, Republic Day, Gudi Padva on the scheduled dates.

Holi was celebrated with great fun and fare on March 8. The funniest part was the marriage rituals of one of the members with his wife having two children. A large Number of members, guests and friends exchanged Holi greetings with gulal, Tasty thandai with traditional gujia & snacks were served.

Birthday Celebration Joggers Park The printed & laminated Identity Cards were issued to all the members of the club. Few cards are still in the process to be issued later. The birthdays of members born in Jan, Feb and March were celebrated in the Garden on respective dates. Flowers and Momentos as were presented to those members. The 4th Annual entertainment day was celebrated by the Club on 21st Jan, Principal Shri N.M.Rajadhayksh

of New Law College was Chief Guest and Dr. Sushama Duggad from Nashik was the Guest of Honour. It was attended by several heads and anchors of several Laughter Clubs. A variety cultural programme was presented by the renowned artists of the Dosti Acres complex and Five Garden Club, Shri. Anand Satam and Smt. Kirti Rathod were the guest performers . The co-operation of M/S Dosti Realties represented by Shri Pankaj Shah and Shri Kartik Bhai Goradia was welcomed. Other dignitories S/Shri Parmeshwaran, Shri Praful Patil, Dr. Leena Chopra, Shri Ashok Singh were all honoured with bouquets and Momentos. Shri D.D.Raje, Senior most member of the Sr. Citizen club (95 years) , could not be present as he was away in Pune, However, he was honoured subsequently in his residence at Dosti Clover on 24th March, 2012. It is a welcome step taken by the Chairman of the proposed Federation of the Dosti Acres Complex to induct the Representative of the Registered clubs functioning here. Dosti Laughter club thanked Shri Iyenger (Chairman of the proposed Federation) and nominated three members of the club Shri Uday Divetia, Shri J.D.Chaturvedi and Smt. Pradhnya Korde to attend the first meeting which was held on 9th March, 2012. Shri Ramesh Mourya and Shri Bhupendra Rathod have joined the 12 week Yoga course run by Shree AMBIKA YOGA KUTIR. OTHER NEWS With great efforts of Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar and NGO (Friends of Wadala) activist Shri Rahul Daga, the ADHAR Cards are now coming to the doors of the Dosti Residents. All the residents who enrolled in May 2011 will receive the individual UID Cards within few days. The Dosti Residents are happy with the news of

HOLI CELEBRATIONS 8th March, 2012

The Dosti Utsav samiti has conducted all the celebrations listed during this year and a grand Satyanarayan Puja at Ganpati Mandir will be held on Ramnavami followed by Mahaprasad. The enrolment into the Senior Citizen Club is increasing day by day in numbers, More than 100 members are taking part in weekly meetings on Monday. Today the concept has changed as it increases fatness. It is wrong. It is useful for happiness and activeness. All the proteins & vitamins of milk are in ghee. Although as per Ayurveda, every thing in excess is poisonous. Since excess of ghee is also harmful, a balanced quantity of ghee should be taken regularly to make the meal tasty and useful. It also increases the light of the eyes and gives relief in knee problems. Hence consume a small amount of pure ghee and be happy.

UPCOMING LAUGHTER YOGA EVENTS All the Laughter Yoga Clubs has started preparation to celebrate the International Laughter Day, which falls on 1st Sunday of May every year. This year it will be celebrated on 06/05/2012. This Club is also planning to take Hasya Procession in and around Dosti Acres / Lloyds Tower in the Morning. Various Laughter Clubs Members of Western Zone, Mumbai are expected to participate in good numbers. All Members of Dosti Acres Laughter Club are informed to participate and make it a grand success.
