"Don't call my work Pop Art. It's all about the struggle of persons who have been discriminated against." This is how Takashi Murakami (born Tokyo 1963) defines his art. His lithographies (stone prints) are on display in the exhibition room at the Old Town Hall until the end of August. Visitors will see a collection of extraordinarily colourful figures and sculptures, including some for sale. Murakami succeeds in combining techniques of traditional Japanese painting with modern graphic styles.
«Mi arte no es pop art. Encarna la lucha de los discriminados». Así define su obra el artista Takashi Murakami (Tokio, 1963). Expone sus litografías hasta finales de agosto en la sala de exposiciones del antiguo ayuntamiento. Se pueden ver figuras poco habituales llenas de colorido, esculturas y objetos de merchandising. Murakami combina técnicas de la pintura tradicional japonesa con recursos de estilo gráficos modernos.

Noch bis Ende August präsentiert er seine Lithografien (Steindrucke) im Ausstellungssaal im alten Rathaus. Zu sehen sind außergewöhnliche, bunte Figuren, Skulpturen und Merchandising-Objekte. Murakami verbindet Techniken der traditionellen japanischen Malkunst mit modernen grafischen Stilmitteln.

For anyone interested in the history of Ibiza, this tour of the interior of the coastal defence tower of the Carregador (Sa Sal Rossa) is unmissable. Built in the second half of the 16th century, the tower provided a safe refuge for the salt gatherers of Las Salinas from marauding Turkish or Barbary pirates.
El que desee rastrear los pasos del pasado ibicenco no debe perder la ocasión de visitar desde el interior la Torre des Carregador, también conocida como Sa Sal Rossa. Esta atalaya, construida en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI, servía para dar cobijo a las personas que trabajaban en las salinas contra los ataques de piratas, turcos o bereberes.
Wer sich auf die Spuren der ibizenkischen Vergangenheit begeben möchte, der sollte es sich nicht entgehen lassen, den Wehrturm des Carregador, auch unter dem Namen Sa Sal Rossa bekannt, von innen zu besichtigen. Der in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts erbaute Turm diente dazu, den Personen, die in den Salinen arbeiteten, bei Angriffen von Piraten, Türken oder Berbern, Unterschlupf zu bieten.

“Vivir Para Cantarlo is a collection of songs some very popular, others less well known that mean a lot to me because I express my personality through them. Each one has its very own biography." This is how Victor Manuel characterises the concert that he will be giving in the cultural centre at Can Ventosa. The Asturian singer/songwriter has put together a programme of music from various decades, starting with the 1960s.
"Vivir para cantarlo" es una recopilación de piezas conocidas y otras no tan populares que, no obstante, para mí significan mucho porque me permiten expresar mi personalidad. Cada canción tiene su propia biografía muy particular». Así describe el cantautor asturiano Víctor Manuel el carácter del concierto que dará en el centro cultural Can Ventosa. El cantante presenta canciones de distintas épocas desde sus inicios en los años 60.
“Vivir para cantarlo“ ist eine Sammlung von bekannten und anderen weniger populären Stükken, die für mich jedoch sehr viel bedeuten, weil ich durch sie meine Persönlichkeit ausdrücke. Jedes Lied hat seine ganz eigene Biografie.“ Mit diesen Worten beschreibt der asturianische Liedermacher Victor Manuel den Charakter des Konzerts, das er im Kulturzentrum Can Ventosa geben wird. Der Sänger präsentiert Lieder der verschiedenen Epochen seit den 60er Jahren.
