Self co mpacting concrete (SCC) flows into place Fres h s elf-co mpacting concrete and around obs tructions under
its own weight. Self-co mpacting concrete decreas es construction time, labour and equipment uses on cons truction,, and
helps in achieving us e without applying vibration in conges ted reinforced concrete s tructures characterized by difficult
cas ting conditions . However, becaus e it us ually requires a larger content of binder and chemical ad mixtures compared to
ordinary concrete, its materia l cos t is generally 20–50% higher, wh ich has been a major h indrance to a wider
imple mentation of its us e. The fres h concrete properties and compres s ive s trength at 1, 7 and 28 days of s uch
