HOPE Center benefits from ‘hot rod’ art show

W

hen Nick Sinclair heard about the HOPE Center from a friend at Carleton College, he was inspired to help the organization’s cause. Acting on that inspiration, the “hot rod” artist decided he would donate some of his art to raise money for the Faribault/Rice County organization. Out of that came “HOPE Rides,” an event sponsored by Faribault Harley-Davidson that not only raised $432 for HOPE Center, but also plenty of awareness. “With funding streams

‘Hometown Sampler’ concert

the executive director of the Steele County Food Shelf, said that $19,511 was raised at the door and $6,500 was donated by corporate sponsors.

The total was nearly 29 percent of the $90,000 the food shelf hoped to bring in by the end of March to help restock the organization’s shelves. r
