Why are social media so addictive?

Researchers recently announced in a study that our brains are rapidly adapting to the use of new technologies. A group of 37 volunteers (26 with smartphones and the rest with traditional cell phones) participated in the study, which consisted of tracking brain activity using electroencephalograms.

But this is just one of the ways that technology influences our evolution. And it seems that the consumption of technology can be compared to that of toxic substances, "because the excessive use of video games or electronic devices causes the segregation of dopamine to be overstimulated," says the therapeutic coordinator of Triora Alicante, Montse Martínez .
