OUR DESIGNERS

April Hannah New York, USA

Based in Hong Kong, Huzi collaborates with emerging and established designers from around the world who share the same vision to think beyond the ordinary. At this intersection of poetic and functional design, and a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, we seek to create meaningful products with simplicity, sustainability and transparency.

April Hannah is an artist and designer working in Brooklyn. She is often inspired by complex networks and patterns in nature, and transforms them into modern, simple yet sophisticated aesthetics. Her work has been featured in museums across the US, including the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Maine. She has also won the prominent BKLYN Designs Inhabitat Editors’ Choice Green Awards for Best Kids Design and Best Newcomer.


BCXSY

Daisuke Motogi

BCXSY is a cooperative between designers Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto. Creating emotional awareness and personal interaction, their designs are full of beauty, purity and wit. Their work has been featured in Victoria & Albert Museum, the London Design Museum, and publications such as Wallpaper, Vogue, Interni and Dezeen. They have also won a Wallpaper Design Awards and were finalists for the Dutch Design Awards.

A designer and architect, Daisuke Motogi loves to observe every detail in daily life, and create functional yet meaningful design solutions that put a smile on everyone’s face. His playful, minimal yet sophisticated designs have brought priases from the press worldwide, including Elle Decor, Casa da Abitare, Domus, and Designboom in Italy, Dezeen and New Design in the UK, Loro in Japan, The Outlook Magazine in China, and Design Milk in the US.


Daris Diego Del Ciello Milan, Italy

There is always room for improvement for the world to be a better place. Daris’ passion lies in creating designs that stir emotional connection and raise ethical awareness. His latest project Ortobox is a finalist at the Make a Change competition in Milan.

Masahiro Minami Shiga, Japan

Every type of wood has its own unique characteristics. Masahiro loves to accentuate these characteristics in a harmonious way to create designs with a special story. A professor at the University of Shiga Prefecture, he pushes students to strive for creative ideas and stories that can change the world. His four year old girl Hana and three year old boy Seiryo will always be the biggest fans of his designs.

Michiko feels that she can connect with the world through her designs. Always paying attention to the small details that form a larger narrative, she creates unforgettable pieces that touch our hearts. She loves to transform the ordinary from everyday life into a special experience.

Mike graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007. Since then, he has created many lifestyle products that are sold in design stores worldwide. Mike loves to combine Chinese culture with Western influence to create contemporary and trendy designs with a familiar touch.
