Assalam-o-Alaikum, “LITTLE WRITERS”, the first ever magazine of our family reflects the thoughts and attitudes, aspiration and inclinations of our young writers. It gives me immense pleasure to see the talents and potentials of these budding builders of tomorrow. The confidence and determination of purpose with which they work to achieve the targets set before them, is indeed admirable. It speaks of the consistent efforts of all those who contributed towards making this dream a reality. I will emphasize here that since we are living in a system of competition where we must make our space to survive. We have to face the challenges and demands. Over all we can say we are in dual responsibility of acting according to other’s wishes and at the same time acting at our own wishes. So study hard, compete and achieve good ranks. In the end, I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my family for their undaunted support at all times. I also thank to all MAMIs and BAJIs for their co-operation and to my lovely cousins who put their best efforts to bring forth this magazine.

ALLAH SAYS TO US!!! Come to Me! Say, if I do not listen to you. Walk in My way! Say if I do not pave the way for you. Be worthless for Me! Say, if I do not bestow ultimate worth on you. Be destitute for Me! Say, if I do not endow you with the treasures of heavenly bliss. Pledge your soul to Me! Say, if I do not make you priceless. Shed tears of My fear! Say, if I do not inundate you with sheer forgiveness. Keep the promise of loyalty to Me! Say, if I do not bless you with perpetual bounty. Pay reverence to My name! Say, if I do not grant you everlasting honour. Make My Beloved (P.B.U.H.), yours! Say, if I do not make Myself yours. So be for Me! Say, is I do not make everything for thee.
History BATTLE OF BADR BY HAFSA TARIQ
The Battle of Badr, fought 17th Ramadan, 2 A.H., was a key battle in the early days of Islam and a turning point in Muhammad’s (S.A.W) struggle with his opponents among the Quraish in Makka. It is one of the few battle specifically mentioned in the Quran. Quraish fought with 1300 soldiers including 100 horsemen and 600 mailed soldiers with a large number of camels. On the other hand, the Muslim army was made up of 300-317 men, 82-86 emigramts, 2 horses and only 70 camels. Allah (S.W.T) helped Muslims during battle by sending the army of angels. “I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other (following on another) in succession.” [Al-Quran 8:9] Quraish bore the loss of their noble leaders including Abu Jahal, Umaiyya, Shaibah and Utbah. Iblis who fought with Quraish, on seeing angels working in favour of Muslims and Quraish rapidly losing ground on the battlefield, ran off and plunged into the sea. Muslims won the battle by the grace of Allah and Allah clearly distinguishes between truth and falsehood on that day. Allah promises the high place in Jannah for Shuhda and Ghazi who submitted their lives in the way of Allah. We the today’s Muslims should also sacrifice our lives in the way of Allah, no matter whatever the obstacles hit our way. We should never come back of from reaching our goal.
An Extract from My Diary BY AYESHA KHALID
8th, August, 2012 My name is Usman Public School. Dear diary, today, I am going to tell u about myself and about my journey of 13 years. I was born in 1999.initially, I was started on small scale but now MashaAllah I have 13 campuses in Karachi. I am getting fame day by day and this is because of my hardworking students and teachers.
My establishment is like a dream come true, a dream turned into a reality by the constant efforts of my pioneers, visionaries and flag holders. I wish my every student will shine in their respective fields.
Last year, one of my student got first position in S.Sc board. I was feeling proud when my name was called in all over the city with that girl’s name. When I go down the memory lane, the 13 year history of mine comes to me in a flash.
THE PERSONALITY I ADMIRE THE MOST BY AMRA JAWED
Many people are so gentle in their ways, so loving and caring that we begin to admire them and their ways of life. The personality whom I admire the most is my granny’s mother, who’s called ‘Nani amma’ in our family. She died on 30th April 2012, suffering from severe thyroid cancer disease. Her age at the time of her death was about 96 years and was the head of our family .Though, she had become old but participated with other family members like a healthy person. She loved and cared for all. She greeted everyone like an old friend. She was respected and loved by children and elders both. I remember whenever I used to pay her salam, I never missed a caring hand on my head, kiss on my forehead and she treasured me with her duas. What a great lady she was! Although she was suffering from cancer disease she performed her 5 times prayer daily in a regular way. Still it is hard to believe that she has died now. When I had a last glance of her face, before her funeral, it seemed that she was taking a sweet deep sleep and would suddenly wake up and again would put her hand on my head and would kiss me again. I never saw such calmness on face of any dead body and the crowd of her loved ones on her funeral made me cry again that I was not her only admirer but she was loved and admired by all. Though, she left us, but left behind a treasure of her duas and different aspects of her life as a model for us. I just feel that I have lost a caring and a great mother, but her duas are following and would forever. May Allah forgive her and may her soul rest in peace.
THE PERSON WHO I LOVE..! BY USMAN ABID The person who I love is my “NANI AMMA. Unfortunately she is no more with us. She died on 30 April 2012 at the age of 96 years. She was old but always participated in our family functions like a young lady. She had a stunning personality with coloured eyes and brown hairs. She was the head of our family. She was an intelligent woman and always prayed 5 times salah even during her sickness. Whenever we were to her home, she welcomed us with a head kiss and a lot of duas. She liked to eat Dal Chawal. She was the most favorite personality among the children. I pray for her to Allah (S.W.T) to give her the place in Jannah.

FORMULA FOR SCORING “A”s Most average students believe that high achievers use some secret formula for studying. I will share with you these study formula.
Formula No. 1 Be consistent:The first thing I found common to all “A” students was that they were consistent in their school work throughout the entire school year. a) b) c) d)
Read ahead of your teacher. Be attentive and ask questions Always complete your homework before the rest of the class. Always clarify mistakes you make in your homework/test.
Formula No. 2 Learn early from your mistakes:Contrary to what most students think, good students do not make fewer mistakes than weak students. In fact, they make more mistakes than anybody else. The only difference is that they make their mistakes during their self-practice sessions and learn from their mistakes before the examinations. a) Mistakes are the best teachers. Making mistakes simply means discovering that your understanding of ideas and how to apply them is not perfect yet. So address the mistakes and learn from them. b) Let mistakes help, not destroy.
Formula No. 3 “Make full use of tests and assignments.” Manu students do not realize the importance of tests and assignments and consider them burdensome. Tests are in fact vital indicators of where you are now in your journey to achieve your goals. For all this we must do two things. a) Do your best in each test. It is only when we study for a test that we can analyze the results to reveal real weakness or confirm our strength. b) Do a post mortem after each test. Whether you do well or badly in a test, analyze your results in detail.
Formula No. 4 “The ultimate formula for scoring ‘A’s.”
1) 2) 3) 4) 5)
C ( Sea) J (Jay) B (Bee) P (Pea) T (Tea)
Set a specific academic goal. Take action to achieve that goal. Be flexible i.e. if you make mistakes or fail to get your outcome, change your strategy. Take action again till you achieve your outcome.

He played this trick for continuous three days. Every time people came there but there was no wolf. After few days, wolf really did come. CASTLES BY MARYAM TARIQ
What are Castles? A Castle is a large strong building, built in the past by a ruler or important person to protect the people inside from attack. They were both a home and a fortress.
The biggest castle in the world: The biggest castle in the world, at about 570 meters length and an average of about 130 meters wide, is Prague Castle, the castle in Prague.
People of the Castle: Many different people lived in and around a castle. The lord and lady, of course, were there, but one could also find everybody from knights to cooks in and around the castle grounds. The most important people were the Lord, the Lady and the Bishop.
Defense: Castles were built strictly for Defense. All features of castle give a pretty good idea of its purpose; moats, turrets, ramparts, murder holes, gun and arrow loops etc. every single one of these design elements was meant to keep enemies out and down.
LETTER TO THE WHOLE NATION
Assalam-o-alikum! Nowadays, the condition of Muslim nation is going worst day by day in which Burma, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine are include. My heart cries with pain when I see and hear innocent people being killed without any reason. Burma is one of these countries which are under crises nowadays. To reduce the rate of famine by supplying 4750 tons of rice in Sep, 1947, that country was known all over the world as Burma. No one knows the reason for which the people of Burma were enforce Muslims to accept the non-Muslim rule in their country. There is ban to recite Quran and offer Taraweeh. Masjids are sued, 20,000 of innocent Muslims were killed. The Government is silent, the UN is silent, and even there is no reaction from a common man. Even the OIC did not raise banners against this. 90,000 of Muslims were enforced to leave their homes. Till now 400 Muslims families are burned alive. The media under control of Jews is silent too. The question arises here that why only Muslim countries are under tragedy. The Muslims had forgotten the orders of Allah. If today Muslim nation gets united and hold the rope of Allah tightly then they will become the strongest nation of the world. We will not only have Muslin kingdom but we will also rule over the non-Muslims. If we get united, our former greatness in this world would come back. I hope my letter will open many eyes to see and face the reality and I hope every individual will take part in making Muslim unity and Muslim kingdom.
