HUHS Athletic Training Program Earns Safe Sports School Title

Hartford Union High School is the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Safe Sports School award for its HUHS Athletics and Athletic Training program. The award champions safety and recognizes secondary schools that provide safe environments for student athletes. The award reinforces the importance of providing the best level of care, injury prevention, and treatment. HUHS Athletic Trainer, Bryana Kudek, led the charge for the school to achieve this honor. With her application, and then receiving a grant from the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA), she has been able to carry out the programming necessary to make this happen. Congratulations to our Athletic Training Program for making us a safe sports school!

Cross Country Grade School Challenge The HUHS Cross Country Team hosted the annual Grade School Cross Country Challenge on Friday, October 6, 2017. This year the challenge was held behind the school, and 190 runners competed for a number of awards and in various activities.

HUHS Joins the North Shore Conference Last year the state realigned the conferences in the WIAA. This realignment shifted HUHS to the new North Shore Conference. This fall was our first season as part of the North Shore Conference.
