Did you know that music learning supports all learning? Studies have shown that music learning improves language development, social and emotional development, pre-literacy skills, and physical/motor development. But music is more than instruments and voices. It’s more than rhythm and movement. Music is a powerful force that can inspire, create community, and build family bonds. And it can be life-changing to develop our inner tune, keep a beat, and confidently participate in the music of different cultures and languages. By emphasizing actual music-making experiences, we introduce children to the pleasures of producing music instead of passively consuming it from recordings or media. Young children learn through play! In each 30 minute class, children ages 3-5 explore different songs, movements, and instrument play all in a non-competitive, fun envrionment. While parental participation is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged, particularly if the child is young or shy. The teacher will provide the materials needed. Come sing, dance, and play with us!

They learn at their own pace, using individualized lesson plans. Challenged to achieve their personal best, students leave well prepared for fruitful lives, meaningful careers and responsible global citizenship. And, they love coming to school!

Are you considering your child’s first school? Or, has the light in your elementary-aged child’s eyes gone out when they go to school in the morning? Please call me at 330-342-7236 or email me at I would welcome the opportunity to show you our school.

Best Wishes in the Summer Ahead, Matt Virgil, Head of School

Additional Summer Information Lunch and Snack Time

Campers are to bring a healthy and nutritious lunch, beverage, and a snack for midmorning and mid-afternoon. Unless otherise noted in a camp’s description, lunch is not provided by the Hudson Montessori School.

Registration is on a firstcome, first-served basis. Because most camps have limited enrollment, early registration is encouraged. All programs are subject to a minimum enrollment. In the event that a class is full or cancelled, parents will be notified as soon as possible. Registration forms are available on our website which can be printed and returned to HMS. Hard copies can also be picked up at our main office.

Arrival & Dismissal

All campers should use the southwest entrance of HMS to check-in with campus staff daily. Signs will be posted to help direct campers to their destination. At dismissal, each camper should be picked up by a parent or adult listed as approved for pick-up. If a counselor is not familiar with the person picking up the camper, they may be asked to provide a photo ID before the child is released.

New this year, we have transportation available. If you would like to inquire about transportation to and from your child’s camp, please contact Hudson Montessori directly at 330.650.0424 or via email at to discuss potential options and shuttling costs.

Deposit & Refund Policy

A deposit of 50% of total camp fees is due at time of registration. You will be invoiced for the remaining balance. Final payment will be due by June 1. A refund must be requested prior to May 20. There is a $25 non-refundable processing fee for each cancellation. If HMS cancels a camp, a full refund will be given. No refunds are given for a child who arrives late, leaves early, or comes to a part of a session.
