Jeffrey M. Falduto, DMD How do you ensure specialized care to your patients? My entire staff maintains a standard of care where the patient is the center of the experience. From their arrival to departure, patients are attended to, making sure they are comfortable by explaining procedures, going over post-op directions, and reviewing how treatment will proceed through future appointments. I maintain a staff that is sincerely caring, friendly and polite. Our patients typically remark that they feel like they are visiting family.

racticing for over 25 years in the historic setting of Lincoln Park, NJ, Dr. Falduto merges the past with the future. He utilizes the latest dental techniques and technology and is able to do so successfully through his continuous education in the field. Dr. Falduto has mastered laser dentistry, air abrasion, CEREC one-visit mercury-free porcelain restorations, Invisalign invisible braces, drill-less dentistry, digital X-rays, digital implants and TMJ treatment, to name a few. While his knowledge and practice are extensive, for Dr. Falduto comfort is key. The health and care of his patients rank number one on his list of priorities. His office welcomes patients of all ages, starting with children as young as three. As for his comprehensive dental child care program, he holds an astounding record of sending 4 of every 5 kids off to college without one filling in their mouth!

What is the most common misconception that you find among patients regarding dental care? I find physicians and dentists see TMJ abnormalities as unresolvable. I am part of the prestigious Piper-McKee Study Group and we have the ability to diagnose specifically the condition of the TMJ and determine what the patient can expect in the future and how we can provide options to remedy their conditions. Describe the patient-doctor relationship at your practice. I strive to make my patient’s mouth stable. This involves resolving the decay and periodontal issues, but includes ensuring the proper forces are acting on their mouth. This encompasses TMJ, balanced bites and using the proper materials. This way, our patients have all their teeth when they’re 95 years old and need far less dental treatment between now and that time. What’s in store for you and your practice? To continue incorporating a comprehensive approach so our patients know our practice maintains a high level of care. I’m presently incorporating more Airway education into my practice. It’s rewarding when you see a parent who uses a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and you can advise about their child’s mouth development and help kids avoid the same fate.
