How do you ensure specialized care to your patients? The office spends a considerable amount of time training, learning and implanting new techniques and technology. We are able to offer a broad range of services to our patients. Additionally, having been on staff at several area hospitals (previously at Overlook Hospital and currently at Morristown Memorial), I am in contact with the finest specialists in the northern New Jersey area. Should a problem arise where a patient needs to be seen by a specialist, we have a seamless transition with specialists that I have known and worked with for over 20 years. Please highlight any unique services that your practice offers its patients. Recently, we added two new exciting services to the practice. The first is Propel Orthodontics, a technique that reduces the traditional Invisalign treatment in half. The second new service is Spectra Imaging. This product is an early cavity detecting device that employs Doppler technology to differentiate decay in its earliest stages. Once detected, the decay is removed and a more conservative restoration can be placed.

What is the most common misconception among your patients regarding dental care? A common public misconception is that dentistry is still a painful procedure. Great strides have been made in addressing patient comfort during the past 20 years. Stronger antibiotics as well as improved local and topical anesthetics have diminished discomfort levels. Also, the addition of conscious sedation, nitrous oxide and other advanced techniques enhances the overall patient experience. Are you using any new technology in your office? Currently, we offer the VELscope, an oral cancer screening device used during hygiene appointments, as well as intraoral cameras and CEREC technology, which allows us to scan and mill crowns and ceramic onlays in a single appointment.
