There is a higher proportion of males (61%) to females (39%) in the mental health dataset. The most common age group of patients seen by Brent services was patients between 26 and 45. We have already seen that Brent has a high proportion of people who are aged between 25 and 39 and therefore it is not surprising to see this group most represented in this dataset. Also, it is known that mental illness onset is usually after the mid 20s. 40.5% of the overall mental health patients are White, although we are unable to decipher whether they were migrants or not, while 29% were Black. 7.3% were of Indian origins and 16.7% belonged to other groups (such as Irish and Arab). 163
