To earn this status, all of our products and services must meet the most stringent standards for safety and sustainability. To keep it, we’re constantly investing in the future: we’re one of the UK’s only furniture manufacturer with a FIRA Gold installation certificate; we recently earned BIM Level 2 accreditation for Design & Construction; and we hold multiple ISO accreditations for our in-house manufacturing. Above all, we earn recognition by delivering results. In the last twelve months our work has won awards for design and commercial interiors, and the Group has just earned its first place on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.

Responsibility & sustainability In our own manufacturing we use only sustainable materials, and our strong supply chain partnerships mean we can demand the same of everything else we source and specify. But beyond the products themselves, we also use biomass generators and carbon neutral boilers – our major manufacturing plant even burns its own MFC cutoffs to produce heat and we are FSC accredited. Handling logistics and distribution in-house means we can cut our carbon footprint even further, and we carry through our commitment to sustainable working by blanket-wrapping furniture for delivery, instead of wasting single-use packing materials. As part of our managed services agreements, we also promote recycling and re-manufacturing, to first prolong the life of our products, and then make sure as much of them as possible are reused.

Task Seating Supporting you while you sit The centre of the workplace? The chair. No matter how many times its outward appearance is reinvented by designers, it always comes back to the classic: a simple shape that supports someone sitting in place, poring over the task at hand while the outward world fades away. The best purpose built task chairs include adjustable lumbar support and responsive elements. Some task chairs are specifically designed to help in the rehabilitation of people with lower back pain and other occupational health problems. And this, of course, is on top of basic functionality like a comfortable swivel motion, the ability to recline without restrictions, arms that can be raised, lowered, or stowed away, and cushioning that curves towards the floor at the front, contoured in a way that avoids placing pressure on the back or thighs.

The most comprehensive task seating range available, Calculus boasts options to suit the most demanding applications. All Calculus work chairs are fitted with gas and lift height adjustment and ratchet back height adjustment as standard, along with your choice of three optional mechanisms.

Permanent Contact Back (PCB) The back of the chair can either be locked in position or left in free-float to remain in contact with the user as they move. PCB + Independent Seat Tilt (IST) Back movement as PCB mechanism with a separate forward tilt on the seat. Synchronous (Sync) The ease of movement of the back can be adjusted to suit the weight of the user by adjusting the knob which is situated under the seat. The seat and back move together in a ratio of 2:5:1 and can be left in free-float or locked in a preferred position.

To improve cable management options, our Cantilever desks allow the modesty panel to be moved from the rear leg position to the front leg position at no extra cost. Moving the modesty panel allows cable dump trays to be fitted to the outside of the modesty panel to carry cables horizontally, and the addition of the optional vertical cassette completes the system. If you prefer this option, simply change the prefix at the start of the desking code from MCR to MCF.

®

Recent studies have also shown that indoor pollution can be up to five times higher than outdoor pollution and has been listed as one of the most dangerous threats for our health today. ITair is an innovative system for the natural air purification for indoor environments integrated into furniture. In this system, plants becomes an object of service, enhancing their natural purification properties thanks to the presence of technological innovations. The ITair system is based on the phytoremediation principle, a “green” technology that uses plants to mitigate pollutants from soil, water and the air. In the ITair system, the plant becomes a filter. Thanks to microorganisms in its roots, it can actively metabolize toxic agents that are present in the air. By providing forced mechanical ventilation, the ITair system increases the air flux in the roots of the plant and increases its effectiveness. ITair is supplied with Arca Steel unit ARCS1FCAD (single) and unit ARCS1FCAD (twin). Plants are not included.
