The Inside Scoop

"I’m thankful most of all for salvation and God’s grace. We are all sinners in need of a perfect Savior! Jesus came to this earth, lived a perfect and sinless life, ultimately to be crucified on a cross, His death satisfying the sin debt that we owed. He was buried in a borrowed tomb, but rose again three days later. He ascended to Heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. One day, He will return! If you are an unbeliever, you can be saved today, right where you are. Romans 10:9-10 says: 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Now that’s something to be thankful for!"

- Ryan Ivy

"I am thankful for my faith, health, family, a great support system at work and home! I am thankful for my husband who makes my coffee everyday! My son who plays me soothing piano in the evenings, my other son who's personality keeps me laughing! I am thankful to have the opportunity to work with such great people of integrity at HTHREG! I am so thankful to my clients that have allowed me to serve them! I am thankful that Jonesboro is stronger than ever as we have overcome so much together in 2020! I am thankful we are more than conquerors! Here's to many more blessings to come!"

- Jennifer Collins

"The craziness of 2020 has forced me to reflect on all of the things I have to be thankful for. My faith, family, health and career are the things of most importance to me. My family and I have managed to stay healthy throughout a time of uncertainty with unwavering faith. With a career in public service I have been able to be there for those in my community during a difficult time which has been very rewarding and I'm humbled to have that opportunity."

- Brandon King

So Much to Be Thankful For "Where to start with what I'm thankful for...there are so many things. A mother that taught me to trust in the Lord Almighty. A family that is full of crazy and stress but are always there when needed. Friends that I can go months without seeing, but pick up right where we left off. Having the basics in life and not knowing what it means to be without. Finally, we are so blessed to have owners who care about us as people, that help us to grow as agents and strive to be at the top...I'm thankful for each of you! Oh, and Lost Pizza coming to hilltop, they are my favorite!"

- Tara Gatewood

"What a year. 2020 has given everyone a run for their money. Some more than others, but I believe everyone has felt this year in some way emotionally, financially, psychologically, spiritually, physically, you name it. However, in the midst of the craziness, there is still so much to be grateful for. My wife is a rock star, beautiful inside and out. I have a baby girl that I don’t deserve. We have great jobs and a roof over our heads. The Lord has been good to us. I’m thankful for what we have lived of 2020 and looking forward to what the rest of the year holds!"

"With two children in college the first must-have that comes to mind are the Apple AirPods. This is a major Christmas win for any parent that gifts these this year!"

"One of my favorite Christmas memories was a time with just me and my boys. We curled up and watched the movie "Elf." As a single mom always looking for affordable and fun things to do, my oldest joked he wanted to try the pasta with syrup, and that was a win win; so we made some. From there it became a thing. We watched the movie, had snowball fights, made cookies, and would drive to the mall to scream with excitement over seeing Santa. Now that I’m remarried with an even bigger family, more children, and now grandchildren, the tradition continues and we look forward to it every year."

- Jennifer Delong "My favorite Christmas memories are not of me as a child but after I became a father. I grew up on a farm and raised my kids on that same farm for most of their lives. When the seasons would change and it began to get colder and closer to harvest, Duke and I would walk the levee checking on the horses and cows and look at the crops. Little did I know then, what precious memories we were making. When Christmas would come my wife and I would always try and think of a funny Christmas card to mail out...two of my favorites, "Duke did it Santa, he shot Rudolph"and "we would rather be shoveling snow"....Christmas should always be about spending time, making memories, and loving on those that The Good Lord has blessed us with."

- Nate Lipsky 24

"Christmas time has not been the same since I had my daughter Anna Lee. The sheer appreciation of the daily festival of life seen through children's little gleaming eyes, is what makes life complete. One of my favorite Christmas memories was her first hand picked Christmas tree it brought a magic into our home that I will never forget."

- Ashlee Betts

"Having a career in community service often gives you a different perspective of appreciating holiday time with family. There isn't one particular Christmas memory that stands out to me, more the idea of being in the moment any time I get to be home during the holidays. Although my favorite part of the holiday season is seeing the light that Christmas puts in my children's eyes."

- Michael Gregson "The mindset of always being ready for a challenge isn't only how we handle real estate. We love a good adventure or challenge. One of our favorite recent Christmas memories was taking a "day after Christmas bike ride" in super cold temperatures. The most adventurous of moments are always the ones that stand out."

William King

"2020 has been one of those years that I don't know if you could top if you tried, between the global pandemic and all of the crazy changes of the world. I am so proud of the journey our team has been on in 2020. We reached record breaking numbers in volume and more than doubled our team. Looking ahead to 2021, I would love to continue growing our team and continuing to raise the bar. In addition to work life, I would love to travel even more and spend more time with my children and grandchildren. Bring it on 2021, I am ready!"

"After having a whirlwind of a year in 2020, it’s crazy to think that 2021 is almost here! A new year means new goals, new hurdles, new ideas. I was able to help several families in 2020 and I hope to help at least 25 new families buy or sell in 2021. For me, a happy life doesn’t mean more “stuff” or making ends meet but having “fewer ends”. I love helping people find their dream home, but my favorite stories are the ones where I help someone into a better situation. Personal goals in 2021 will be to lose more weight and become a healthier version of myself so I can be more active with my 2year-old for years to come and to maybe even find the place to build my own forever home! I would also love to be more charitable in 2021 and be able to give more than I ever have. I love to help people in any way that I can. I hope and pray for a happy and healthy 2021 for everyone."

"Looking ahead to 2021 there are so many things I look forward to after the year we've had. I want to continue to grow and be the best and largest property management company in NEA. To take care of our clients to the best of our ability. I would like to spend time with my boys and learn more about hunting and of course fish as much as I can! If nothing else, this year has taught me to never take a moment for granted and given me a chance to reflect on all of the many blessings often overlooked."

Cassie Kersey

Rob Spencer

“2020 has been an insane year to say the least. It has been the sort of year folks will write stories about one day. A lot of us are glad it’s almost over and those feelings are certainly justified. From a real estate perspective, we learned how challenging it can be to navigate an uncertain environment to act in the best interests of our clients. The Upstage Team has set records all year long in 2020 by simply being an important resource to the families we serve. We took it as our unwavering duty to provide exceedingly exceptional service, and to be the calming wind pushing back against the hurricane. Many of our clients lost jobs and everything they’d worked for their whole lives. We sought to help in any way we could. Our goals for 2021 will be written, just like 2020’s were, but if we aren’t prepared for whatever life throws at us, what good will a set of goals be? Faith, family, work ethic, and grit are what we strive for and those are the foundations of our desired outcomes for 2021. No matter where 2021 leads us, we’ll face it together and be stronger because of 2020.”
