01 Operating from Articulation This is a work for a semester. We started from articulation, trying to find a rule that can be repeaded with a simple unit. I want to make a work that never ended. There's no direction, juut like a three-dimentional circle. I chose the incomplete cube as my unit. The barycentre would be a big problem while making it. They're inlaid to each other with opening to different side. The end product shows two circle in it. In the second stage, we tried to arrange the space and put circulation in it. I tore it to five parts. The center part plays a main role to connect the others though the corridor in the air. Each stair comes to a cube opening to different side. It'll be a interesting space experience. You never know what you will face. RULE
FLOATING CITY PLAN
02 Floating City Type: Compus Activity Center Locate: Tainan National Chung Kung University Because of the shape, I decided to design it as a compus center in our school. Each part is for different kind of club. Each cube contains different size of classrooms. Also, To keep the circulation in the compus, I raised it up. People can easily go though the architecture. The perfomers work hard for the minute on the stage. To show up my main concept, I put a platform to gather those five parts on the top as a stage. A stage for performing, resting, eating. The clubs' classes are under the stage in the cube. People will see students praticice when climbing the stairs. The design let the audience not only enjoy the show on the stage but see how hard the performers practice.
L HOUSE CONCEPT
03 L House Type: Home Studio Locate: Koahsiung L House is located in Koahsiung besides the Love River. To make every space enjoy riverside view, I let upper level be smaller than the lower. Furthermore, I put the public space at the riverside. Hope we can enjoy the view with friends, family. To keep the pattern on the side, I use the virtual space to cut the house into three long parts. There are different level height between in the space beside. Different height creates the chance to eye contact. Home and studio share a kitchen, because I believe talkig usually happens on the meal time. I will treat my colleague as family.

S HOUSE ARTICULATION 04 S House Type: Dormitory Locate: Tainan
As a college student, we are all live far from home for studying. With my experience, I wounld like to design a homelike dorm. Students living in it are like a big family. There are two kinds of living unit, single room and duplex apartment-style dormitory. There are different public space in each level for different activity, like movie watching, ping-pong playing. And they can be straightly connected by the stairs outdoors. The activity in the dorm would be held regularly. Let the students in the dorm interavt naturely. The ground floor is set to be supermarket, coffee shop, bike maintenance departmentand, and book store. Offer not only for stusents but also neighbors nearby.

GOOD NEIGHBOR 05 Good Neighbor Type: Community Center Locate: Tainan There is a park offering people to exercise, walk, and have some conversation. When there is going to build a community center, I want to keep all the activities right now. I think the architect makes the space, and people will use it as they want. I use volume and trees to surround virtual space. Considered to all ages in the community center, a plaza plays a role to gather all people. Old people like to walk around, watching, talking. Parents may need a place to childcare, when they want to attend classes. As a architecture hiding in the tree, I hope the ground floor would be raised appropriately. Walking under the building just like walking under the trees.

URBAN SAMPLING & MASHUPS 06 2013 Urban Sampling & Mashups Workshop Locate: Tainan Train Station collective work TARGET Urban Sampling - To gain a close up view of the city through detailed examination of its texture and materiality in order to uncover actual and latent connectivities and new narratives. Mashup - To recombine and rescale found objects and associated narratives and documentation into new urban mashups.
Description Our site is at Tainan station. It plays the role that people come to Tainan. We observed a serious action peolple do when they get in and out of the station. Then, we found that everything start from "lock". We have to "unlock" to get some permition to do something the next. For example, we unlock our car to drive away; using coins to buy a ticket seems to unlock the right to take a train. Such as those process of unlocking left many traces. We collected those traces to be the smallest scale elements. Also, we observed the hand movement of unlocking as our middle scale elements. Last, we consider the station as a whole, recording the relationship between locks, keys, people, and the whole space. These are our largest scale elements. The work is to combine those three different scale in a same space. Try to find the relationship between these different scales of interaction.
(LEFT) SMALL SCALE Use paper to record the traces of lock (DOWN) MIDDLE SCALE Different lock corresponds to different height with the body. There is continuity between in it. Red circle is the place of lock. The white line connects them, becoming a continuous action
BIG SCALE We set up a camera at the station . Record people go in and out in a day by time-lapse photography. We chose four period to get 96 time slices. And simplize the photos into different lines. Analysis the relationship with people, motorcycles, bicycles, locks, between time and space. And then put then into our final device works as a coordinate. We connect different time slices to complete large-scale parts.
Four elements represent the relationship between the small-scale body and locks
The red line is people. The blue line is motorcycle. The yellow line is bicycle. Plumb lines means that it has not been moved Lines pulling out the screen means this object were taken away from the station during the period
White lines means the height and continuous relationship between the body and the lock in the middle scale.
HAIAN COMPETITION 07 Haian Competition Locate: Tainan Train Station collective work STORY There are sylphs living under the city for a long time. They are curious about the world above. Through the ventilation tower built, they get the chance to take a look at our world. The sylphs love the colorful world, but found that there are lack of warth between in people. They decide to be the catalyst to help people get closer. And found they also
STATUS It spent almost 20 years on the whole widening project. The Haian Road has experienced bustling to depression. We tried to set white, clear ball stacking in the city. They sylphs between you and me . We hope to create different activities by different sizes and different ways to stack the ball.
HUMAN BODY SCALE STUDY We hope to create different activities by different sizes and different ways to stack the ball. We study kinds of way to stack and the posibility people using.
