Rebecca Smith

Susan K. Stappenbeck, M.Ed., M.P.H.

Rebecca’s organizational skills in establishing the processes and procedures for the revised Interdisciplinary 5000 course curriculum are beyond compare. She solves student course issues as they are encountered, allowing faculty time for teaching and/or research. When the university has smart, resourceful individuals like Rebecca, the ultimate result is increased productivity resulting in cost savings.

Susan’s exceptional work was pivotal in the creation of the Translational Science Ph.D. program. She coordinated and organized the input and work of dozens of faculty, administrators and staff at four University of Texas System institutions and effectively interfaced with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Simply put, without her dedication, professionalism, diplomacy, common sense, intelligence and hard work, this new Ph.D. program would not exist today.
