Learn about your antiques and collectibles with Georgia Caraway the greatest joy.

Georgia Caraway Hurrah! Yippee! Woohoo! Howe Mercantile is open again for business. Our new hours are Thursday – Saturday from 11 am – 7 pm. (We are opening and closing one hour sooner.) AND for the time being we are opening by chance Monday – Wednesday from 11 am – 4 pm. Diane will be on duty M-W. The others dealers will be working from Th-Sat. Closed Sundays. This is our new normal. It has been very hard on all of us as a small business to pay utilities, maintenance of the buildings, and pay staff to sanitize and clean. And we have missed our customers. All of us get a great deal of pleasure seeking ouT treasures at great prices that we can pass along, but it is the interaction with people that bring us

Our dealers have not been idle during this time. Everyone has been restocking their merchandise. Marilyn brought some terrific retro kitchen and Farmhouse décor from Pennsylvania auctions; Diane has been painting furniture; Jake brought in some Bakelite bangles and more Bots; Brett has

loaded up his booth with decorative items for your home; and Wayne’s Howe-made pure goat soap is still just $6 a bar. The best price for goat soap anywhere. Also Michael has added some great estate objects to his space. Speaking of ESTATE ITEMS, I am conducting an estate sale in Farmers

Branch for the mother of a friend who has been a collector for more than 50 years. The sale includes a garage full of Christmas and Halloween chachkeys and tools; dozens of dolls; coins; lawn and garden; hundreds of pieces of vintage jewelry; books; records, CDs, movies; beautiful oak furniture (hall tree, pie safe, beds, dressers, sewing machine, etc.), and

loads of hats, purses, scarves, and vintage clothing; buttons and craft items, Miller and other beer clocks. If you need a new Whirlpool stove or a washer and dryer, this is the place. And a multi-tiered locker from a school is just the thing for storage. The house is small, so this will limit the number of people we

will be able to admit at one time, plus we will be practicing social distancing. The new normal for estate sales requires wearing masks and gloves. The sale will be held at 2981 Primrose Lane (Farmers Branch/Dallas). Friday and Saturday May 22-23 from 9 am – 4 pm. Discounts on Saturday. Check estatesales.net for photos and more details. And the best thing, the prices are attractive to dealers and collectors and it is worth the drive. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD THAT HOWE MERCANTILE IS OPEN. Georgia Caraway and her partners at Howe Mercantile hope you will come by 107-109 ½ East Haning to shop and visit with us. WE HAVE NEW HOURS THURSDAY – SATURDAY FROM 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. And by chance Monday through Wednesday from 114. Three new dealers joined the Mercantile. SHOP LOCAL. WE CAN SHOW YOU HOWE.
