FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Press Release: Oct 15, 2012 Story #1 - Mandy's wedding was a couple of months away, and the arrangements had already been made for a tropical wedding in Bali with family and friends.
As a plus-size woman, Mandy thought it would be divine to wear a soft silk sarong for her wedding, so started scouring the internet. When the search didn't find any results, Mandy wondered whether she'd be able to paint her own silk sarong, so started looking for teachers. Landing on the How-to-Paint-on-Silk.com website whet her appetite to know more about Teena's classes, and after several emails Mandy attended a Silk Painting Workshop as a Beginner to learn the basics. After the Workshop, Mandy bought her supplies and with guidance from Teena was able to create her own simple wedding sarong.

Story #2 -- Glenda's friend was going through a rigorous chemo treatment, and needed to lay down and rest for a large part of each day. Glenda had always wanted to learn to paint on silk, and after a bit of searching on the internet, found Teena Hughes' silk painting workshops. After attending the Beginner's Workshop, Glenda told Teena about her friend, and it was suggested that a beautifully soft hand-painted silk cushion might be a wonderful gift. After attending this second Workshop, Glenda said, "When handing over my gift-wrapped cushion to Estelle as a surprise, I was so proud I'd been able to make something so beautiful for her to rest her head on every day. She told me she'll cherish it forever, and I hope the luxurious feel of the silk helps her to dream of far away wonderful places, and relieve some of her discomfort while she's ill."
