Program Highlights A general overview and visual inspection of your home - A certified energy auditor will conduct a basic energy analysis of your home and deliver a complete report with all the details, including specific actions you can take to improve your home’s energy efficiency. This test will take approximately 2 hours. 1. Homeowner questionnaire and preparation sheet - Upon scheduling of the audit the homeowner is asked to complete a questionnaire of energy use and habits. This will direct the auditor to the largest areas of concern and allow the auditor to address these concerns, such as a drafty front door or a cold bathroom. The preparation sheet will give the homeowner the steps to prepare for the auditor, such as making sure there is safe and clear access to the attic and furnace. 2. A blower-door test that uses calibrated fans and pressure gauges to measure and track airflow to determine the general location of air leaks with gauges and non- toxic smoke pen. You will receive recommendations to seal air leaks and generally tighten your home, including adding weather stripping, upgrading insulation, replacing windows or doors, and much more. 3. A basic infrared inspection that uses an infrared camera to further pinpoint the location of air leaks and moisture problems. This scan will help you develop additional solutions for air leaks and reduction of overall conditioned air loss and energy consumption. This will include 5 images from the areas of concern from the homeowner questionnaire and interview. A complete infrared inspection is available.

4. A combustion safety test and carbon monoxide (CO) check that measures draft pressure when all exhaust fans are on to determine if flue gasses might spill into the house under similar conditions. CO levels will also be measured, if present. This test is done on all non-sealed combustion appliances, including furnace, hot water heater and gas stoves. 5. Heating and structural efficiency - Conduct efficiency and other checks of your space heating equipment.
