needed. And as there were no maps that helped us with this we decided to develop our own data-mapping diagram. The first Search Engine Relationship Chart (SERC) took weeks to research and assemble. Once we had the data it was a matter of deciding to publish our SERC. As the first industry infographic we published it as a PDF. We posted information in the major email newsletters of the time complete with the download link, and within no time the PDF was downloaded more than 300,000 times. We were happy to have our chart on the wall of colleagues nationwide, and especially our brand. This was singularly the most successful branding and visibility program we have ever done. Now,
