Child Development Teacher Assistant Certificate Program The Teacher Assistant Certificate program will enable you to work in educational settings under the supervision and direction of a teacher, providing support to students who require assistance in developmental, behavioral, and/or learning tasks. In this course you will learn the skills to effectively support students and teachers in diverse educational setting.

An introduction to theories, models and skills required to guide and respond positively to the behavior of children, individually and in group settings. Instruction will examine understanding behavior and the factors that affect behavior. Low, medium and high intervention strategies are explored along with the professional’s role in guidance.
