The PC Series Design Team

The design and development of the PC Series is the result of a collaborative partnership between Horizon Yachts, renowned designer JC Espinosa, naval architect and catamaran specialist Angelo Lavranos of Lavranos Marine Design, and Richard and Leigh Ford of The

Powercat Company.

The Powercat Company is the exclusive distributor in the Americas of Horizon Power Catamarans.

Hours of research, development, design and testing are invested into each PC yacht, to ensure that every detail satisfies the owner’s vision.

Hull Design

The twin hull design offers exceptional stability, low resistance and drag, and a smooth, level ride, resulting in unmatched comfort for everyone aboard.

CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools assist us in predicting the hydrodynamic performance of these often-unconventional hull forms, including resistance and powering. The design analysis of the PC Series was performed using the hydrodynamic design suite Flow CFD and tank testing.

These advanced technology methods allow us to ensure a stable, comfortable ride with every hull.

Horizon PC52

The Horizon PC52 model answers the demand for a high-end power catamaran in the 50-foot range that is capable of true blue water cruising. The PC52 offers extremely comfortable living spaces, with a functional three-stateroom layout, large galley and spacious salon, as well as all of the necessary amenities for extended cruising. She has been professionally designed and engineered to meet Horizon’s high standards for quality, and the PC52’s generous bridge deck clearance ensures the ride is efficient, smooth and stable, providing you the peace of mind you need when out on the open sea. The PC52 is available in both Open Bridge and Skylounge versions.

Horizon PC68

A larger sister to the successful Horizon PC60 model, the Horizon PC68 provides increased fuel capacity and stronger power to satisfy blue water cruisers. With a hull design by Angelo Lavranos and Horizon’s in-house team, the PC68 inherits the stability, safety, and comfort that characterizes the PC Series. Designed to take full advantage of the successful features of both the PC60 and larger versions, such as the Custom PC74, the PC68 incorporates a spacious salon area with L-shaped seating and a galley equipped with a bar. A total of four guest staterooms are on board, with a full beam on-deck master stateroom and three guest staterooms below deck. The Horizon PC68 is offered in Skylounge and Open Bridge, as well as the On-Deck Master and Open Salon versions to suit a variety of cruising lifestyles.

FLYBRIDGE DECK

The spacious aft deck hints at the interior volume provided by the PC68’s 24ft 6in beam,and offers all of the signature elements of al fresco relaxation amidst the panoramic views.

Custom PC74

The PC Series has the capability to extend up to 74 feet, as evidenced by this custom PC74 that was built for a Horizon owner. To design such an exquisite power catamaran required a complex set of criteria where all of the key elements were carefully identified. An extensive Must Have list formed the basis of the design, while a Wish List further refined the parameters and tested the design limits. The result was a vessel that exudes luxury and comfort. Fully outfitted with the finest amenities, the PC74 is a magnificent luxury cruising yacht as well as a desirable crewed charter yacht.

The custom PC74 provided its owner unparalleled functionality and comfort in a spacious and luxuriously outfitted package rarely seen in the power catamaran market.

The custom PC74 was fitted with a hi/lo swim platform that is wide enough to accommodate a jet ski with storage space below for up to 12 dive tanks.

The custom PC74's 28'3" beam makes for an impressive aft deck, which offers dining for ten, a large comfortable sofa with two side cabinets, and a wet bar with fridge, icemaker, and television.
