continued from page 21

The day will consist of vendors, food and activities for kids and will be highlighted by the PTO Dunk Tank. The event takes months of planning, and Parks and Recreation Director Dave MacTavish talked about all the time and effort that goes into making a successful fair. “It takes months of planning by the Parks and Recreation staff, however, we rely heavily on volunteers for the day of the event,” he said. “I am not sure we could single out the biggest helper or supporter. The vendors, volunteers and the attendees are the ones that make it possible and successful.” The annual fair is a great day for the Dover and Sherborn communities and despite summer being over, MacTavish feels this is a great way for the community to keep in touch. “(We get) the satisfaction of the community coming together and

taking part in the event,” he said. “It is one of our annual programs that we feel is important to offer to the residents. It is a social event for many in the community and is a way to interact after the summer months.” Below is a list of Chickering School faculty that will participate in this year’s PTO Dunk Tank: 10:30 a.m. – Oliver “Over the Falls” Stocks
