Resided in France from 2005 to 2013. Bilingual in English, French and fluent in Spanish. Full clean U.K. Driving Licence. Advanced computer skills specialising in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Kerkythea, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and other work related computer skills.

The impact of a building's exterior and interior on its surroundings, its occupants and users, and on the passing public fascinates me. I have been passionate about architecture and interior design since I was young. I grew up in France from the age of nine to seventeen, became fluent in French, and had the incredible opportunity of studying to be an Architectural Technician from the age of fourteen to seventeen. At fourteen, I began learning AutoCAD, Google Sketch up and Kerkythea, and have continued to improve my knowledge and capabilities with these programmes since. To achieve my "Baccalaureat Professional Assistante Architecte", I had to complete six Architectural Technician work placements, three in France and three in the United Kingdom, each of which equally enhanced my passion for, and interest in, architecture and interior design. Each architectural firm pushed my skills and abilities to the maximum, encouraging me to learn as much as I could about all aspects of architecture and design, so enabling me to contribute and become a valuable team member. I was also granted the opportunity to spend three months in Spain studying only in Spanish. One work placement in 2011 was with the French architectural firm Elysees Ocean. They were extremely pleased with the work I produced and with the strong relationships that I had formed with the employees. Consequently, I was delighted to be asked to work free-lance for them whilst still studying, which I did so for the next three years, until my studies took over. I learnt to timemanage and improve my knowledge and capabilities in 3D imaging, I produced promotional 3D visuals, walkthrough videos and interactive models for my colleagues to use to promote building designs to their clients, and which they could then change to suit their client's needs. I also prepared and taught Google Sketch Up sessions for all the employees within the company. At Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, I was granted direct entry into the third year of my four year degree due to my theoretical knowledge and previous practical experiences gained at a young age. Already having a love for architecture, I wanted to also focus on interior design, which I strongly consider to be equally as important as the exterior of a building, with its potential to have such a positive effect on the inhabitant's mental and physical well-being, and of their appreciation of the space and of the building as a whole. I graduated after two years with a BA Honours Degree in Interior Design. My first post was as an Interior Designer at Wagstaff Interiors Group in Edinburgh; a respected, independent and significant name in the interiors, logistics and design industry. I then moved down south and started working for Portsdown in Chichester, as an Interior Designer and CAD Technician where I then took over the role of Design Manager. During my time at both of these companies, I gained vast experience in the different stages of interior architecture, interior design, space planning and furniture solutions.

The main focus of my present position as a freelance Interior Designer is to communicate and promote my ideas, concepts and proposals, both my own and those of my colleagues, to clients, builders and contractors, through client meetings and site visits, CAD drawings (specializing in Revit and AutoCAD), 3D rendering and animation software (specializing in Google Sketch Up and Kerkythea rendering software) including the development of virtual reality software. This enables customers to clearly visualise the proposals during on-site and one-to-one meetings, as well as from the design studio, until it is completed to high standards and their complete satisfaction. Personally, I have provided designs and supplied solutions to customers requirements in order to transform their building interiors, through innovative designing, into a harmonious, stimulating, enlivened environment. I recognise the importance of careful specification and placement of furniture, and the use of colour, texture and natural and artificial lighting to achieve interior goals. In many cases, this can also prove conducive to happiness at work, productivity and profit, and encourage thought and creativity itself. I have been involved in a variety of commercial, educational and retail projects which is at the heart of what I enjoy most. I am extremely motivated and enthusiastic about all aspects of architecture and interior design, and I am striving to continually learn, improve and apply my knowledge within the field. I am a very sociable and confident person and my communication skills are invaluable in enabling me to interact well and collaborate productively with my colleagues and other professionals. I have become very aware of the great importance of professionalism, expertise, and efficiency in my work. I know how essential it is to truly listen to the client's requirements to ensure a greater understanding of what they want to achieve, to build up an honest, open, trusting, and approachable relationship with them, and to provide an innovative exciting design that accurately meets their needs, and hopefully exceeds their expectations.
