The Lonely Lioness By Hollie Clark
This book is the result of my narrative project at the Arts University Bournemouth, February 2014. My aim was to create a children’s book on the theme of conservation. I think it is important to protect our natural world, and through children’s books, perhaps we can inspire future generations to make a difference in the world, even if its just to one other life, like the narrator in this book did for the lioness. It has been a learning curve creating my first ever children’s picture book, and with more time it definitely has more potential. I hope this inspires you, the readers (young and old), to make a change, be it in your community or protecting the environment. With more time, I would have loved to screen print all my characters, and experiment more with negative space on the page. I guess there is always my next project, or the one after that. Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed my book.
