STEWART ISLAND FLIGHTS Scenic Flight - Your adventure to Stewart Island begins with Stewart Island Flights who operate three return scheduled flights per day between Invercargill Airport and Oban, Halfmoon Bay and Stewart Island. The 20 min. scenic flight gives you a great bird’s-eye view of Oreti Beach, the Tiwai Aluminium Plant and South Port in Bluff before crossing Foveaux Strait where the view changes to lush rainforest and gorgeous bays dotted with even smaller islands before landing at the tiny island community of Oban. Courtesy transport is provided from the airfield to Halfmoon Bay. Schedule guideline (slight variations for weekends and winter time, check when booking). Departs Invercargill 8am, 1pm and 5pm. Departs Stewart Island 8.30am, 1.30pm and 5.30pm. (Children under 4 years free)

KAYAKING MILFORD SOUND This is about as close to communing with nature in Milford Sound as you can get! After being collected from your accommodation, learn about the history, landmarks and conservation on the way to majestic Milford Sound. On arrival get ready for 4 hours of spectacular kayaking. Highlights include dramatic sheer cliffs, classic Mitre peak, waterfalls, enormous glacier carved valleys and possibly friendly fur seals and playful dolphins. For Lunch we aim to stop on a beach at the foot of the mountains. Bring your own lunch or preorder (NZ$17). On the journey home there is time for scenic stops, short walks, good New Zealand music and a well earned rest. Note: If bad weather prevents kayaking it is replaced by a launch cruise and extended nature tour. Includes a professional sea kayaking guide, all kayaking clothing, safety gear and instruction.
