MILFORD SOUND OVERNIGHT CRUISE When the day visitors depart a silence descends on Milford Sound. Be one of the privileged few to experience the long southern twilight and the dawning of a new day in this magnificent World Heritage region. Departing from Milford wharf, cruise the length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea where, subject to favourable weather conditions, the sails are hoisted for a period before returning to sheltered waters to anchor in Harrison Cove. The friendly crew and expert nature guides are always available to answer your questions and help with the activities such as kayaking and exploring the coastline by tender craft. Passengers have the opportunity to visit the Underwater Observatory as an optional extra, (Self-driving only).

Milford Mariner: Purpose-built and designed along the lines

of a traditional New Zealand coastal trading scow with gaff-rigged sails, the Mariner is ideal for those who enjoy comfort combined with activity. The vessel sleeps 60 guests in private twin/double cabins with ensuite bathrooms. There’s plenty of room to observe the incredible scenery, either from the spacious decks or from the comfort of the observation lounge. Or go exploring in one of the 30 kayaks or two tender crafts. Includes A three-course buffet dinner and full cooked and continental buffet breakfast.

Milford Wanderer: Designed along the lines of a traditional

New Zealand coastal trading scow to reflect Fiordland’s heritage, the vessel has been purpose-built to accommodate passengers in 14 comfortable twin-share cabins and two quad-share bunk cabins with shared bathroom facilities. Recently refurbished, it has a cosy dining saloon and open deck areas for viewing the spectacular scenery of Milford Sound. Highlights include cruising the full length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea and a highly informative commentary from the specialist nature guide. Overnight we anchor in sheltered Harrison Cove. Included in this experience is the opportunity to walk on the famous Milford Track or explore the shoreline on the tender boat. Includes A three-course evening meal and hearty breakfast.

DOUBTFUL SOUND OVERNIGHT CRUISE Three times longer than Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound has a surface area 10 times larger. It is a stunning place of towering peaks, bush-clad islands, twisting, hidden arms and sheltered coves. Start with a cruise across Lake Manapouri to West Arm, then coach through the dense rainforest of Wilmot Pass, pausing for magnificent views of Doubtful Sound glistening far below. At Deep Cove visitors board the Fiordland Navigator for a leisurely exploration of Doubtful Sound before anchoring in one of the hidden coves for the night. The following morning there is time to explore before returning to Deep Cove.

Fiordland Navigator: This purpose-built, 38m-long, three-masted

slaysall schooner reflects Fiordland’s heritage. Sleeping 70 guests in either twin/double cabins with ensuite bathroom or quad share bunk style cabins with shared bathroom facilities. The vessel has three spacious decks ideal for viewing the wilderness scenery, fur seals, dolphins and in season, rare penguins. Activites include kayaking and excursions in the tender craft to explore the coastline. Includes: A three-course buffet dinner and cooked and continental buffet breakfast. It is recommended that guests order a boxed picnic lunch for Day 1 or take their own. Picnic lunches must be prebooked.
