KAKADU NATIONAL PARK DAY TOUR Experience the magnificence of Kakadu National Park, in the beauty of a small group. Upon entering the Park we make our way to Ubirr Rock, where your Guide will lead and interpret for you, as we walk through the Ancient rock art galleries, home to some of the oldest rock art in the world. We’ll make our way up to the Nadab lookout, which provides us with an amazing view over the top of Ubirr Rock and across the Nadab floodplains, in the direction of Arnhem Land. Another fantastic Territory Experience awaits us as we head to the East Alligator River to join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise, for an interactive, informative, yet tranquil Tour. This is a chance to learn about the area, history and culture, through the eyes of the Traditional Owners. There is a stop during the Cruise, where you will get the chance to step out into Arnhem Land and see for yourself the beautiful expanse of its unique terrain. 5 DAY KAKADU, ARNHEM LAND & COBURG PENINSULA Day 1: This morning make your way to Kakadu, enjoy a scenic cruise on Corroboree Billabong with an amazing variety of birdlife before continuing on into the Kakadu visiting White Lily Billabong and Barramundi Gorge, where you can swim or snorkel. Enjoy a sunset across the Arnhem Land Escarpment and relax at Anbinik Kakadu Resort. Day 2: Head out to the Gunbalanya Aboriginal community with some of the best views in the Top End along the way. Spend the morning watching traditional artists and enjoy some of the best aboriginal rock art in Australia. This afternoon journey to the Coburg Peninsula for your clifftop camp and views over Port Essington. Day 3: Awake to the sound of the birds and enjoy a ‘Coburg-style’ breakfast. Spend the morning exploring the NT’s largest marine park by boat with plenty to see; turtles, dolphins, sharks, crocodiles & more. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure around the camp in a hammock or try your hand at fishing. Day 4: Today explore the eastern side of Kakadu by 4WD with its paperbark swamps & billabongs. Take the opportunity to go hunting for mud crabs using traditional methods and learn how to prepare local delicacies. Day 5: This morning depart early to make your way to the East Alligator River for lunch on the banks. KATHERINE GORGE CRUISE & LELIYN (EDITH FALLS) DAY TOUR Leaving Darwin we travel south through tropical country, passing former WWII airstrips en route to Adelaide River. We make a short stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to those killed in the air raids in Darwin in the 1940’s. Continue to Edith Falls, where there is time for a refreshing swim in the paperbark and pandanas fringed waterhole beneath the falls (conditions permitting). After your included lunch, we join a 2 hour scenic cruise through Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park, with a chance to see freshwater crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks of the river and many interesting species of birdlife. Our cruise of the first two gorges takes us past sheer rock walls and requires a short walk to reach the second gorge. Enjoy a drive back through the township of Katherine, the hub of the region’s cattle and farming industries. Travel via Pine Creek, an historic gold mining town, to our evening stop where you may purchase dinner at Emerald Springs (own expense) before returning to Darwin. 3 DAY KAKADU & LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARKS Day 1: Darwin – Kakadu National Park Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway, passing major river systems and wetland regions, into Kakadu National Park. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Join your local guide on a cruise of Yellow Water Billabong Cruise. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife for which this region is renowned. After lunch, stop at Nourlangie, where your Driver Guide will lead you on a walk to view the rock art galleries. Optional add-on: Kakadu Scenic Flight. Day 2: Guluyambi Cultural Cruise – Darwin This morning stop at Ubirr with a short walk to view Aboriginal rock art. Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. You’ll have an Aboriginal guide with you and with the special permission of the local people, you’ll be able to go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit Bowali Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin.

Wangi Falls, Litchfield National Park

LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK DAY TOUR We follow the Stuart Highway via the township of Batchelor to Litchfield National Park where we will visit the main falls. First stop is Florence Falls, where you have the opportunity for a scenic and interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walk. There is also the chance for a swim by making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below. Travel on to Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water cascading down to the deep waterhole at the base of the falls. Finally we visit Wangi Falls, with its large crystal clear pool, another relaxing spot for a swim. A great day for taking many fascinating photos, including the amazing stand of termite mounds.
