APPRENTICESHIP STANDARDS Apprenticeship Standards have been introduced as part of the Government’s apprenticeship reforms which came into effect in May 2017. These Standards will replace the old Frameworks and form part of the Government’s target to reach 3 million new apprenticeship starts by 2020. Some of the key differences between frameworks and standards are that the new standards are more occupation focussed rather than qualification led. All standards will also involve an End Point Assessment (EPA) which will usually include a knowledge test, formal interview and a review of the learner’s CPD log. We have started phasing out our frameworks and are applying for approval on the equivalent new standards as soon as they are released. Heart of England Training are included on the ESFA’s Register of Approved Training Providers (RoATP) which means that we have demonstrated a high level of due diligence, capability, quality and financial health alongside our capability to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training.
