Figure 5.4 shows projections for maximum rain in a five-day period in 2100 under A1B, which are indicators of storm intensity and are important in understanding the level of flood risk and the intensity of rain storms. Reductions in the maximum five-day rain are projected by these models across the island. Although there is not a strong local difference is maximum rain, the northern portion of Central Kalimantan province, the eastern side of Sarawak, and Sabah show the greatest percentage increase in maximum rain.
