Our Harvard Negotiation Institute workshops on the Harvard campus offer a unique opportunity for you to learn negotiation skills and practical theory in an enjoyable and intensive learning environment. he Harvard Negotiation Institute offers popular, five-day workshops in June and September, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshops are taught by leading Harvard faculty and experts in the field of negotiation, mediation, and conflict management. Participants from around the world and from a wide variety of professions have found these workshops to be invaluable. The Harvard Negotiation Institute also offers a two-day course, the Intensive Negotiation Workshop for Lawyers & Working Professionals. These workshops have been approved for continuing legal education (CLE) credits. (Participants seeking credit must inform Harvard Negotiation Institute staff on how to report information and to which organization.) Past participants have said:

Negotiation Workshop: Creating Value in Deals & Disputes • Professor Robert C. Bordone, Thaddeus R. Beal Clinical Professor of Law and Director; Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program • Professor Michael Moffitt, University of Oregon Through the use of lectures, case simulations, discussion, video-recording, and individualized coaching, this intensive workshop provides participants with a strategic framework for negotiating while also enhancing their ability to maximize joint gains and neutralize hard bargaining tactics.

Mediation Workshop Professor Frank E.A. Sander, Bussey Professor Emeritus Michael Lewis and Linda Singer, lawyer mediators (Workshop also offered in fall 2010) This workshop introduces participants to the theory and practice of mediation.

Advanced Negotiation Workshop: Deal Design & Implementation • Professor Guhan Subramanian, Joseph Flom Professor of Law & Business, Harvard Law School; Douglas Weaver Professor of Business Law, Harvard Business School • David Lax, Managing Principal, Lax Sebenius LLC This course provides participants with a systematic framework and tactical tools for effectively navigating their way through complex business deals.

Advanced Negotiation Workshop: Difficult Conversations • Bruce Patton, Co-founder and Distinguished Fellow, Harvard Negotiation Project • Sheila Heen, Lecturer at Harvard Law School • Doug Stone, Lecturer at Harvard Law School This course offers a systematic approach to diagnosing communication and relationship problems and shows how to transform difficult conversations into learning conversations.
