Daisy Soakers Who wouldn’t want to wear fancy pants like these? From a 1940s British pattern leaflet called The French Baby Book, these soakers can be used as a cloth diaper cover, or just as cute shorts over a regular disposable diaper or even training pants. (If you use them as a cloth diaper cover, be sure to lanolize the soakers following the instructions on page 29.) Keep in mind that cloth diapers tend to be bulkier than disposable diapers, so if baby is wearing disposables you’ll want to make the pants a size smaller. The yarn is a wonderful organic two-ply wool that knits into a lightweight but absorbent fabric.
