FEATURED EVENTS kathy b. davis (kbd) foundation 2018 memorial golf charity tournament and live auction by Marilyn Biviano and Dave Davis; photography by Jane Wimmer and Marilyn Biviano The day started out with a dark sky and looked like rain was likely but within hours it turned into a beautiful day for the KBD Memorial Golf Tournament and it never rained. Volunteers were everywhere!—There were volunteers greeting folks as they came in the Clubhouse door, staffing the registration tables, setting-up the raffle tables, providing Dunkin Doughnut coffee and donuts and organizing the Special Needs Golf Clinic to be conducted during the Tournament.

Lake Arrowhead, has beautiful golf course and a fun and generous community. In this charity tournament, there were 68 players in 17 teams. The big group picture of players, volunteers and special needs participants (see photo on cover and below) reflects the community spirit and charity participation at Lake Arrowhead. At 8:30, Dave Davis, founder and president of the KBD Foundation, provided some introductory remarks about the Foundation, their focus on the special needs community and the many contests and prizes in the day ahead. Then, Uel Kemp, Golf Pro and General Manager, gave an overview of the tournament and games rules and then Tournament began with a shotgun start!
