One of the most challenging experiences that I have lived, has been being MCP of Dominican Republic, this is a country, where you find amazing people with warm hearts, people who are willing to change things and develop themselves. But get to know this culture, they way of working and being able to learn from them it’s the biggest learning point. This country needs a strong leader, able to be open, to learn, to collaborate with its people and to adapt easily to other mindsets.

That’s why on behalf of the MC in Dominican Republic 13.14 I’m proud to announce applications for MCP of Dominican Republic 14-15. For us it has been an incredible journey of successes, challenges and above all – learning. Dominican Republic is an AIESEC entity, which can make your experience different and give you another perspective of being a part of this organization. You have an opportunity to challenge yourself, make a powerful impact on the society and offer other people meaningful experience. But most important is an entity that needs to build bases in order to be able to have a successful growth in the mid-term. We encourage you to consider the information that is given in this booklet, ask questions and find out as much as you can to ensure you are making the right decision for the right reasons. Enjoy the process as you are about to take an opportunity of a life time. With this, we wish you all the best with your application and election process! Sincerely, Hiram Chaparro MCP AIESEC in Dominican Republic 13-14

Financial and working conditions MC salary will depend on the budget and agreement within the MC members and MCP (with final word of MCP). During the term 2013/43 so far each person has received monthly salary of 120 to 180 USD accommodation is covered byMC Budget. Higher salaries are planned for term 2014/15, however the incomes are not yet guaranteed by contracts. If budget allows it all fees and travel costs are covered for events connected with MC work. For MCP ILMs are covered since their attendance is part of membership criteria. Few points to consider: Costs of living in Santo Domingo are min. 500 USD (accommodation included) and this term’s salary is just enough, so you should consider other kind of financial resources (family, grant...) As MC you can attend few international events that will also need your personal investment (apart from travel costs and fees). Costs for visa, insurance, public transport and other documents are not covered! The term in AIESEC Dominican Republic officially starts on the 1st of July for MC and 1st of April for LCs, Transitions starts right after selection. MC 14.15 must be available and physically present in Santo Domingo on the 1st of May until the 30th of June for Team to Team transition.

International Candidates In the last years AIESEC in Dominican Republic strongly values the internationalism in the MC team. We had several MCPs and MC members and we think that international members as well as AIESEC in Dominican Republic significantly benefited from it. If you want to know more about experience of international MC in Dominican Republic, contact Hiram (MCP) and Omar (MC VP BD) and we would also be happy to provide you contacts from previous MC(P)s. No matter the nationality of candidates we expect dedication and active participation in transition before the start of the term. miĂŠrcoles, 22 de enero de 14
