She’s been a stylist her whole life. My friends and family were always asking me for advice on what to buy, so eventually I thought, “Why not turn this into a business?” Style Strategy was born out of this wish to help clients invest in a chicer version of themselves. I call it a wardrobe enhancement consultation service. Her style icons are busy moms. My fashion influencers are moms who manage to look amazing, while literally balancing it all. So it makes sense that a large chunk of my clients are busy moms with no time to go shopping. My goal is to help them look effortlessly chic without breaking the bank. I help them go through their closets piece by piece, and figure out what works and what they need. She’s a packing guru. I have clients that call me before trips and say, “I’m freaking out; can you come over and help me?” So I’ve incorporated that into my business plan. One of the packages I offer is “suitcase strategy,” where I come over and help you pack for your upcoming trip. Trendy is her pet-peeve. Piling on trend on trend just doesn’t work. I know people are on Instagram and seeing all these different trends, but the best way to incorporate trends is to wear them with some classic pieces. Pair the fashion sneakers with jeans and a T-shirt. Classic is always in fashion. One of the things that every woman should have in her wardrobe is a classic trenchcoat. It’s one of those things that never goes out of style, and you can wear it over anything. A little black dress is great, but a little white dress is classic, but slightly different, and looks great year-round. And a nice investment bag is something you can use 24/7.
