Wow 201 was a Huge Year for Hill York! Not only did we celebrate 75 years of service, we were announced the winner of BOMA’s 2011, 2012 coveted TOBY Award in recognition of Hill York’s Historical Building Excellence. And, the winner is… The winners were kept secret until the opening of the envelope during the actual Awards event which was held November 4, 2011. Mike Jacobazzi, owner of Roofing Concepts Unlimited (shown above with our very own Lori Anderson stands and presents the winner of the Historical category. He began by reading the following comments made by the judges:
“ It is truly amazing what this company has done to bring this building into the 21st century. Technology and green initiatives are over the top. Their community service and tenant relations are something to be proud of. Policy and procedure manual was well put together and easy to follow. The winner of BOMA’s 2011/2012 Historical Building category is HILL YORK!” I struggled to find my legs as I made my way on stage. What an honor and a privilege to stand on that stage, in front of all our customers, our soon-to-be customers, and our peers to accept the award on Hill York’s behalf. This award is a representation of how our Hill York team pulls together to tackle a project. Each of you can be very proud of our accomplishment. Congratulations! It’s worth noting that during a TOBY competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. TOBY winners are well respected in the commercial real estate industry because their buildings are maintained at the highest standards and set the criterion for excellence in property management. Buildings are judged on the several levels of criterion: Physical Plant, Community Impact, Tenant/Employee Relations, Building Accessibility, Emergency Procedures, and Personnel Training.
Our award, is on display at headquarters’ award gallery.
A great big BOMA thanks goes out to my fellow BOMA members and Hill Yorkers who helped make this happen! By Lori Anderson, Director of Agreement Sales
